Former Chargers DE Jacques Cesaire has decided to officially retire. Cesaire, who went undrafted out of Southern Connecticut State, spent all nine of his NFL seasons with the Chargers. He compiled 13 sacks and 220 tackles, mostly as backup end, before getting cut at the end of training camp this season. Cesaire's biggest contribution came in the leadership department, which makes sense because he's now aiming to latch on as an NFL assistant.

Chargers declared DE Jacques Cesaire, WR Bryan Walters, CB Shareece Wright, OT Tony Moll, DE/OLB Everette Brown and LB Nate Triplett inactive for Week 15 against the Ravens. Amongst the league's most banged up teams all season, the Chargers enter Week 15 near full health. Cesaire remains without a return date from his ankle injury.

Chargers DE Jacques Cesaire left Sunday's Week 14 game against the Bills with an apparent left ankle injury. Cesaire was immediately carted to the locker room. This has the look of a serious injury.

Chargers DE Jacques Cesaire (knee) is out until "at least" the team's Week 6 bye. It sounds like he has a sprained knee ligament. Cesaire was filling in for injured starter Luis Castillo, so the Bolts are thinning quickly on the defensive line. Vaughn Martin is next up on the depth chart, with Ogemdi Nwagbuo also in the mix for snaps. The Chargers will likely sign another end this week.

Chargers DE Jacques Cesaire left Sunday's game against the Chiefs in the third quarter with a knee injury. Cesaire is a rotational lineman that got the start today with Corey Liuget sidelined. He was injured while diving over the pile at the end of a Thomas Jones run. Cesaire is questionable to return.

Chargers re-signed DE Jacques Cesaire to a two-year contract. Cesaire returns based on familiarity with San Diego's defensive scheme and to provide depth. The 31-year-old lineman shouldn't be counted on for a first-team job after the Bolts used their top draft pick on Corey Liuget. Pro Football Focus graded Cesaire below average as both a run stopper and pass rusher last year.
