The Eagles worked out free agent DE Jacob Ford Tuesday. Daryl Tapp (pectoral) and Juqua Parker (ankle) are both in doubt for Sunday's game against the Giants. Ford was coached by current Eagles' D-line coach Jim Washburn in Tennessee.

Titans waived/injured DE Jacob Ford. A favorite of Football Outsiders, Ford drew little interest on the rushed market before re-signing a one-year contract in early August. He was held back by hamstring injury during preseason action. Ford is undersized but can help as a situational 4-3 pass rusher when healthy.

Titans agreed to terms with DE Jacob Ford on a one-year contract. The Titans made a late push to keep the under-sized pass rusher after losing Jason Babin to the Eagles. Ford recorded 12.5 sacks as a nickel rusher from 2008-2009 but was bypassed by Babin after suffering knee and ankle injuries last season. Bill Barnwell of Football Outsiders calls Ford "even money to pick up more sacks than Babin this year."

The Titans have yet to offer free agent DE Jacob Ford a contract. However, talks between the sides are reportedly ongoing. There's been speculation that the under-sized Ford isn't a fit for new DL coach Tracy Rocker's scheme, but he's been a productive nickel rusher throughout his three-year NFL career.
