Rodgers reportedly elected to pass on a two-year extension offer from the Packers this offseason, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
EDGE Analysis
Schefter notes that Green Bay's offer would have kept Rodgers with the franchise for five more seasons while making him the highest-paid player in football. After the veteran QB elected not to participate in the Packers' on-field activities this offseason, the focus now turns to whether he'll be out there when training camp opens July 28. There have been plenty of reports suggesting that Rodgers' future with the team is cloudy due to issues he has with management, but to date the Packers have insisted that they won't deal their star signal caller.
He is under contract in 2021 so if he sits it out, odds are he will not come back at all or if he does, he won't command as much money. If he plays it out and gets injured, he just lost that gamble. Best play would be to talk to GB and hammer out a trade deal so GB feels like they win or take the money. The second best play would be to play out the contract and hope he does not get injured.
He does not hold the cards in this one and Denver will not land him this year.
I think he is just pissed off that they are not improving the offence while the team is competing for a SB run. Its like they are worried about tomorrow instead of trying to win today. AR knows how quickly the window can shut on a team.
yeah but the packers remind me of the texans last season right d-hop wanned out of houston same with jj watt and now watson so..... same deal with the packers
I think he would rather the team spend money on better weapons than give him more money. I'm a Lions fan and am not the biggest fan of Rodgers but he got screwed by the team for years now. He just wants to win and I respect him for that.
There's gotta be a good starter or b/u available for a price. Maybe a Packers impact player and draft picks that a team would interested to trading for? And let Rodgers sit and rot! Not to mention his EGO deflating! It kinda looks like State Farm has pulled his commercials also. He will never spend the 45 million for 1 year in his lifetime! GREED! As is Tom Brady.
he's a conceited dick but he's the best QB in the league and they drafted his replacement in the 1st and a backup running back in the 2nd last year. maybe greenbay would have a superbowl if they had done something useful in that draft. fools for losing their window at a championship. he's worth more then mahommes. like i said hes a dick but at the same time who can blame him for being pissed off
he's not going to denver either. regardless if the packers receive a beneficial trade offer they won't move him. because denver is practically guaranteed a superbowl if they get him and packers management will look like fools for losing him..regardless if its the right move for the team at this point management will be worried how they look as individuals when hes trotting around with a championship playing for another team. god I wish he would go to denver though imagine that show. Its a shame but chances are pretty slim we see him play this year and aside from the stupid conceited look on his face its a friggen treat to watch him play. #elitemafia
To PigBoss's credit, he has a solid team around him that went to the NFC Championship 2 years in a row. So yeah, they could have made better use of their top two picks but they clearly know how to build a winning team. Even with Love under center, they are a better team than half the league.
GB History clearly shows that if a trade was to be made, they would send him to a team like the Jets.
Pissing away a SB caliber team, Just seems like a weird way to end your career.

you know something i have always loved rodgers if i have on my team just put him on the trade block
pigbossTue 7/20/21 7:34 PM
Poor Rodgers wants 40 mil a year but wants more weapons. He only has a top 3 wr, a top 5 rb, top 10 lt, top 5 CB
Huge packer fan here so no bias against him but hes quite the ass hat
