The New England Patriots signed wide receiver Reggie Wayne to a one-year contract Monday, according to ESPN. The 36-year-old Wayne had spent his entire 14-year career to this point with the Indianapolis Colts, catching 64 passes for 779 yards and two touchdowns last season. However, he is coming off career-low 12.2 yards per reception, and his average of 51.9 yards per game was his worst mark since 2002, which was likely a prime motivator for the Colts to part ways with the veteran wideout. The Patriots have sustained several injuries to their receiving corps recently, with Julian Edelman, Brandon LaFell, Aaron Dobson and Brian Tyms all missing Saturday's preseason game due to a variety of ailments and features an injury-prone possession receiver in Danny Amendola. Wayne will, however, likely need to wait until Week 5 before he can begin receiving balls from star quarterback Tom Brady, who will serve a season-opening four-game suspension. Over the course of his career, Wayne has caught 1,070 passes for 14,345 yards and 82 touchdowns.

The Patriots are always f'ing with us Colt fans. This was a counterattack to the "The Patriots bug the locker rooms" comments from last week.

I'm sure Reggie "Bruce" Wayne can withstand the tactics of Kraft. When he turns in to "Fatman" i'm sure he will gain weight.
