Suspended WR Josh Gordon has hired the same attorney, Maurice Suh, that helped Richard Sherman win his suspension appeal in December 2012. Sherman was facing a four-game ban two seasons ago, but won his appeal and was available for Seattle in the playoffs. Gordon has been participating in training camp, and was even running with the starters Monday after previously working with mostly backups. Hopefully for Gordon's sake, the Browns know something we don't. If Gordon simply wins and gets his 16-game ban chopped in half, it'd be a colossal victory. We should have a resolution within a week.

Well that is good news. If anyone can help him cheat a drug test it is Richard Sherman or a representative of his.

your both idiots. one year because he chooses a natural herb to self medicate his issues, while ray rice knocks his wife unconscious on tape and gets 2 games. marijuana does nothing to help im on the field or hurt the public. if you want to suspend him for being an idiot, or for his dui, then thats another issue entirely

Haha wow, are there really people rooting against this kid? Honestly, who cares if he's a total idiot off the field - anyone operating under the delusion that the players who don't get caught are all moral compasses is already suffering from a fatal case of naivety, and is a lost cause. Fine his brains out and MAKE him play - having to play football at the highest level on Earth for free is just as likely to get him to knock off the BS as anything, in my book.

anybody that upholds marijuana either is using it or is a complete idiot.pro atheletes should be setting good examples for our young atheletes . They shouldn't be showing them all the things that will get them in trouble.

What do you mean by "upholds marijuana", exactly? I am not glorifying it, but the NFL's policy/punishment is a joke. Luckily, some details are emerging that would suggest Gordon now has a fighting chance at playing this year. So

Pick him back up

Pick him back up

It all comes down to I cant believe anything I hear or read. From what I am reading now is that it might all be bullshit.T

DIESEL101 Tue 7/29/14 4:13 PM

But you are right about the punishment policy.I just don't understand why someone with his talent would want to take the chances that he does

I'm a high school teacher, and I wonder the same thing every day with most of my students. Josh Gordon is a 23 year old KID. Hopefully he'll learn something, even if he avoids suspension.
