Welcome to Week 14! Hopefully you've already locked up a playoff berth, if not, best of luck to you this week. We've got some movement on and off of the 'Studs' list this week, so come inside and let's take a look. QUARTERBACKS STUDS Tom Brady Drew Brees Robert Griffin III Peyton Manning Carson Palmer Aaron Rodgers Ben Roethlisberger *Expected to start in Week 14* Matt Ryan START Josh Freeman, Tampa Bay vs. Philadelphia: Freeman, who has thrown multiple touchdown passes in seven of his last eight games gets a dream matchup versus an Eagles defense that has allowed multiple touchdown passes in six straight games. The Philadelphia defense has been relatively stout versus the run having allowed only one rushing touchdown in the last four weeks while only allowing three total rushing touchdowns on the season. This should force the Bucs in to more of a passing mode. Brandon Weeden, Cleveland vs. Kansas City: Coming off of a very emotional win in Week 13 the Chiefs will travel to Cleveland to face a Browns team that has been very inconsistent on offense. But after shredding the Oakland defense for 364 yards passing on the road last week look for Weeden to pass for 225-plus yards and at least two touchdowns as he'll be facing the third worst defense in fantasy versus the pass. Andrew Luck, Indianapolis vs. Tennessee: Coming off a Week 13 game in which he was just magical down the stretch in leading the Colts to a come from behind victory, Luck will get a tasty matchup versus a Titans defense that has allowed multiple touchdown passes in nine out of 12 games this year. Although Luck has a 17:16 touchdown-to-interception ratio on the season, he has a 13:6 ratio at home. BENCH Philip Rivers, San Diego at Pittsburgh: Rivers, who has thrown only one touchdown pass in his last two games, will be facing a Steelers defense that has only allowed two touchdown passes in its last five games and only five in its last eight. The Steelers are the No. 1 defense in fantasy versus quarterbacks. I think I've made my point. Ryan Fitzpatrick, Buffalo vs. St. Louis: Fitzpatrick, who has thrown zero touchdown passes in four games this year, will be going up against a Cardinals defense that hasn't allowed a touchdown pass in its last two games and has only allowed two touchdown passes in its last four games. Any Cardinals Quarterback at Seattle: Seattle is the fourth best defense in fantasy versus quarterbacks and prior to last week had only allowed one touchdown pass in its previous three games. Be it Kolb or Lindley, neither should be in your starting lineup. RUNNING BACKS STUDS Jamaal Charles Arian Foster Frank Gore Maurice Jones-Drew *Very questionable for Week 14* Marshawn Lynch Doug Martin LeSean McCoy *Not expected to play in Week 14* Alfred Morris Adrian Peterson Trent Richardson Ray Rice OFF Darren McFadden, Oakland: Despite not playing since Week 9, the free ride is over. After scoring in single digits in four out of eight games and only topping 13 fantasy points once this season, McFadden is booted from the 'Studs' list. START Knowson Moreno, Denver at Oakland: Moreno, who has gotten 20 carries in each of his last two games, gets a tasty matchup versus a Raiders defense that is the second worst in fantasy versus running backs. Oakland has allowed three 100-yard rushing efforts and a total of eight touchdowns in its last four games. Steven Jackson, St. Louis at Buffalo: While Buffalo has been tough versus the run over its last three games, having allowed no more than 67 yards rushing in a game while not surrendering a touchdown over that span, they are still ranked as the third worst defense in fantasy versus the run. Meanwhile, Jackson has toted the rock 20-plus times in three out of his last four games. Look for St. Louis to keep it on the ground while visiting Buffalo in December. BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Cincinnati vs. Dallas: Green-Ellis has been on a roll over his last three games having rushed for over 100 yards in each game. This week he'll get a favorable matchup versus a Dallas defense that has allowed over 100 yards rushing in five of its last six games. They've also allowed six touchdowns over that span. BENCH Reggie Bush/Daniel Thomas, Miami at San Francisco: The 49ers have held opponents under 100 yards rushing in four out of their last five games while only allowing one rushing touchdown over that span. Meanwhile, Bush hasn't rushed for over 100 yards since Week 2 versus Oakland and Thomas has failed to top 69 yards in a single contest. Darren McFadden, Oakland vs. Denver: McFadden gets the double-whammy this week as not only is be booted from the 'Studs' list, but he gets a benching as well. Denver has only allowed one 100-yard rushing effort and one touchdown since Week 5. Also, don't expect McFadden to resume a full workload as Marcel Reece has earned some touches going forward. Beanie Wells, Arizona at Seattle: Wells fell into two touchdowns back in Week 12 but don't expect that kind of luck this week as Arizona will be facing a Seahawks defense that is No. 8 in fantasy defending the run. Also, Wells has carried the ball 61 times for 146 yards this season for an average of 2.4 yards. WIDE RECEIVERS STUDS Victor Cruz A.J. Green Percy Harvin *Out for the rest of the year* Vincent Jackson Andre Johnson Calvin Johnson Brandon Marshall Demaryius Thomas Reggie Wayne Wes Welker Roddy White START Kenny Britt, Tennessee at Indianapolis: Finally, Titans coach Mike Munchak has stated that the Titans need to get Britt the ball more. This week provides a nice matchup versus a Colts defense that is the third worst in fantasy at defending opposing wide receivers. Randall Cobb, Green Bay vs. Detroit: The last time that Cobb made a visit to the house was Week 9 versus the Lions. Between Weeks 5 and 11, Cobb scored seven touchdowns in six games. Look for this week's matchup to bring back some of those fond memories. Dez Bryant, Dallas at Cincinnati: I'm going to phone this one in and ride the Dez Express as after this week he should be joining the 'Studs' list. I can't leave you like this, as I feel as if I've cheated you guys and gals. So here's one more... Josh Gordon, Cleveland vs. Kansas City: With Weeden making our quarterback 'Start' list he's going to need someone to throw the ball to and Gordon is his man. Last week Gordon reestablished himself as Cleveland's top young wideout hauling in six passes for 116 yards and a touchdown. This week Gordon gets a sweet matchup with a Chiefs defense that has allowed opposing wide receivers to score every week but one this season. BENCH Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona at Seattle: Over the last three weeks Fitz has scored 1, 3 and 2 points in non-PPR leagues. The quarterback situation is so bad in Arizona that not even Larry Fitzgerald can save them. It won't get any better this week as the Cards will be facing the No. 2 defense in fantasy versus wide receivers. Denarius Moore, Oakland vs. Denver: What's going on in Oakland? After looking like a sure-fire WR1 between Weeks 3 and 10, Moore was pulled last week due to dropped passes. It won't get any easier this week as Moore will be going up against Champ Bailey and a Broncos defense that is the ninth best in fantasy at defending wide receivers. Malcom Floyd, San Diego at Pittsburgh: Floyd has caught a touchdown pass in three out of his last five games. But in a matchup versus the No. 1 defense defending wide receivers there won't be much to go around as Danario Alexander has emerged as the new No. 1 wide receiver in San Diego. TIGHT ENDS STUDS Owen Daniels Tony Gonzalez Jimmy Graham Rob Gronkowski *Out with broken arm* Aaron Hernandez Heath Miller Kyle Rudolph Jason Witten ADD Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota: Rudolph is now firmly entrenched as a Top 10 tight end after scoring double-digit fantasy points in three straight games. DROP Vernon Davis, San Francisco: After scoring single digit fantasy points in six out of his last seven games it's time to say good-bye to Davis. START Dennis Pitta, Baltimore at Washington: How do you not recommend an emerging young tight end in a matchup against the most generous team in fantasy versus tight ends? But, this is the kind of call that will generate some angry emails should Pitta get shutout this week. As shown earlier in the year, Pitta can be a stud when used properly, but it's Flacco's inconsistent use of Pitta that will drive us crazy. Brandon Myers, Oakland vs. Denver: Sorry, but Myers still needs to show more in order for me to put him on the 'Studs' list. He's only scored in double-digits three times this season and all of them have been since Week 9. But a matchup this week versus a Broncos defense that is the second worst at defending tight ends could be just what Myers needs to put him on the list. Jermichael Finley, Green Bay vs. Detroit: Finley will be facing a Lions defense that has allowed a touchdown to opposing tight ends in four straight games and five out of its last six. Finley caught six passes last week so hopefully he's back on Aaron Rodgers' radar. Jared Cook, Tennessee at Indianapolis: Cook has caught 10 passes over the last two games, his best two-game total of the year. This week he'll get a matchup versus a Colts defense that has allowed four touchdowns to opposing tight ends in the last three weeks. BENCH Tony Moeaki, Kansas City at Cleveland: Moeaki couldn't have picked a worse time to face the Browns defense as they just got lit up by Oakland tight end Brandon Myers for 14 catches, 130 receiving yards and a touchdown. That performance dropped Cleveland from No. 1 to No. 5 in the ranking of top defenses versus tight ends. Look for Cleveland to pay special attention to Moeaki this week. Scott Chandler, Buffalo vs. St. Louis: Despite catching a touchdown pass last week, Chandler still scored in single digits as that was his only reception. This week Chandler will be going...
