Seastrunk signed with the Cowboys on Monday.
Selected in the sixth round by the Redskins last year, Seastrunk spent part of his rookie season on the Panthers' practice squad, after failing to survive final cuts in Washington. He was impressive in his two seasons at Baylor, and while he'll face a challenge trying to make the Dallas roster, he did well to find a team that lacks talent at his position. If he can somehow make the roster and earn a role, Seastrunk would get to run behind a first-rate offensive line.
He just needs a team that says "hey we don't care if a guy can do all the intricate things, we just want someone in there that is gonna let 'er rip". This guy does not lack explosion.
Because he's 5th on the depth chart and is by no means a lock to make the roster. Why so high on a 6th round bottom feeder who bounces most plays wide, has hands of stone, can't pass protect for beans and plays much closer to his official combine time of 4:51 than his supposed 4.3 at his pro day.
They'd be better off with coldpepper. He can at least throw. All of these dallas running backs will impose their will to abject humiliation. They will be seen with anecdotal refinements. Oh yeah, and a great old skank to boot.
Exlaxtly, just because you stick a chocolate bar in peanut butter doesn't make it a reeses. Same thing in your case just because it came up as skank it doesn't make it a dirty ho.
Very true Joey70. In a lot of ways reeses cups are like dirty ho's. They both love to be filled and eaten and even though they may taste good, you certainly don't want to eat to many. You could get pretty sick.
Wow, answer111, you are a very highly intelligent being as I never even imagined to look at from that perspective, however I think if I ate the reeses with the wrapper on it would prevent a possible sickness sort of like using a mouth condom while eating a dirty ho, as you see I can be pretty smrt two, so as porky pig said, thats, thats, thats, whats up doc?
If you're watching depth charts at this time of year, good luck.
Check out the other Baylor backs a year or so before, and after he was there. For hands, that whole backfield has been average, like Lache. Figure it's the OScheme, talent they recruit (not draft), or simply coincidence. Any way you slice it, I don't think a total of 20 odd targets is really a fair indication.
No comparison in Seastrunk and Forsett. While Forsett & Lache were cut by the same amount of teams the comparison ends there. Forsett remained on a roster for years. LS managed to be employed in terms of months. Forsett landed at the Ravens as a backup to Rice. Playing in a scheme he had been in while at Houston. He joined the ex Texans OC Kubiak just in time for the Rice suspension. The stars aligned for JF career year. Barring injury LS will be cut by team #4 in a couple months right on schedule. You do not need a crystal ball to see that. Just a look back to the 2014 Carolina Panthers box scores. The CP top 4 RBs were unable to play & Seastrunk still failed to find the field. You have a better shot getting an orgasm from a Reeses than Seastrunk has of seeing regular season action for the Cowboys.
Another serious guy, I'm sure you saw that Forsett breakout coming years ago? You added him last offseason like "ooo Forsett going to the Ravens where he'll be backing up Ray Rice in his old coach Gary Kubiak's scheme. This is too juicy I can't believe no one has picked this guy up yet. Idiots!"
Actually Chris I did draft Forsett to a keeper league roster last off season.I did see he may have opportunity during what at that time was to be a 2 game Rice suspension(which became indefinite). I released him in my final cuts feeling Rice would be back after 2 games. I was surprised as anyone about what he achieved. I did not really expect that type of season from JF. He is a bit small & has some injury history too. I would be surprised again if he were to repeat.
All that said this is a Seastrunk post. Can he also surprise? Absolutely! If there was a surprise in the kid you would suspect that the Redskins, Titans or Panthers would have looked a bit longer for it. He is a camp body back home for the Cowboys & at best a special teams performer. I root for all these kids to hang onto their dreams. LS is no different. I wish he & all his supporters well.
For what it is worth- this year I added a RB from N Illinois to my roster. His name is Cameron Stingly now a Pittsburg Steeler. He is a big bruiser at 6'1" 235#s. He was a LB turned RB 2 years ago in college. He averaged 5+ yards a carry.Very hard to stop when he gets rolling. He is about 4th on the Pittsburg depth chart. With Levon Bell out 3 games the ball goes to an injury prone DeAngelo Williams. Next in line is the smallish Dri Archer. This scenario could present this kid some early touches. With some success he may end up getting some goal line touches & possibly get the ball to close out games. Is Cam a long shot?Certainly! Better gamble than Seastrunk I think. Especially in a keeper format. Good luck guys!
Trench, thank you for raising some valid points, beats the nonsense "answer" is spewing.
I personally believe that Lache was shown the door in WSH because of his Baylor connection to RG3, and his extremely confident personality. JGruden probably wanted to eliminate that headache and (presumed) ally of RG# in the locker room...
CAR, shocked he didn't stick. Him and Newton working some read options SHOULD'VE been ACE!
TEN, if anyone was questioning the carry distributions and inability to break away from the ineffective vets, you maybe wonder if he ever got a fair shake in a very crowded position room.
I'm going out on a limb and saying he inability to stay on a roster is entirely driven by his Pass Pro. Unwilling, ineffective, I don't know. As Chris eluded to, the kid can do what few others on the roster can - BURN IT. If he can pick up the Pass Pro, I would suspect he'll find some success...
StMoose now I can appreciate a good post like yours. I did add Lache for a bit last year with the Panthers. I was puzzled why he never got the try with nearly every back on the team injured. Pass protection has slowed the development of many other RBs so it could be a factor. The Carolina line was decimated out the gate last season and Cam surely needed some one to help buy time in the back field.

Does the fact that this guy has been dumped by two teams already mean nothing? He won't do anything... even in Dallas.

Why so serious, Forsett got dumped by 2 teams as well now look at him

Oh look, someone found a thesaurus.
[Deleted User]Mon 6/8/15 2:40 PM
I don't think anybody is high on him, just hoping for the best. What was Dan Herron what was Justin Forsett what was LeGarrette Blount.
[Deleted User]Mon 6/8/15 2:53 PM
Correct! I opened my thesaurus to dirty ho and the number one synonym was "skank".
