NFL.com's Albert Breer expects Rob Gronkowski (broken left forearm) to push for a Week 14 return.
The Patriots have a critical two-game swing with the Texans and 49ers beginning in Week 14, but that would have Gronk missing just two games despite being given a 4-8 week timetable. It's doubtful he'll be ready for Houston, but if he is, it means he'd be a go for the fantasy playoffs. We would say a clearer idea of Gronk's timeline should emerge in the coming days, but then again, we're talking about the Patriots. What we do know is that Gronk can be safely ruled out for Thanksgiving.
It is too bad for Gronk and his owners, but blame BeIchick for this one. The guy always runs up the score and Gronk should not have been out on the field at that time. They were up by 30 points late in the 4th quarter and still throwing the ball.
JayTee, I agree with the "POS" and classless assertion but how many players, in the history of the NFL have gotten hurt while blocking during an extra point? Regardless of the score and time of game, Gronk is in on that "package". That's not to say that no one else can block during an extra point but that's the way their team is set up. Now, on the other hand, wheat happened in Washington with McCoy was sickening! Reid had Bryce Brown in a few weeks ago while up by 10 points, running the ball, this past week he has McCoy in running the ball with 1:44 to go while down by 25? That is a FIRE-ABLE offense!!!
Do some research. The injury was on an extra point. How ever they score, pass TD, special teams or rush TD they have to kick the extra point and ni the NFL there is no 2nd team for the extra point. Gronk had to be out there.

Yes, I am aware of that. But what in the hell were they doing still throwing the ball and trying to score up by 30 points with a few minutes left in the game!!!
Typical run up the score mentality by NE coaching staff.
Belicheck is a historian, he's well aware of the great comebacks in the NFL, he doesn't want to be a TB vs Manning Colts or the Oilers vs a Reich lead Bills or the Chargers vs Manning Broncos

I totally agree and well put. I think this was a case of a lame duck coach just winging it and checking out at the expense of one of his best players.

Reid said, he will not get off the ship while it's going down. Ah huhhh, he has 6 million reasons($) not too! Hahaaa

Get your facts right, he got hurt on an extra point, not a passing play!

For the last time, I am aware of that! But on that drive, they were still throwing the ball up by 30 points. That was my point.

Yes, hence the reason for my classless POS comment. One of these days, the tables will be turned, and I cannot wait.
