Moreno has been placed on injured reserve with a torn ACL, according to the Dolphins' official website.
The announcement is very surprising, as there had been no report of Moreno even suffering a knee injury, let alone one that would end his season. Moreno, in his first year with the Dolphins after spending the first five years of his career with the Broncos, suffered a dislocated elbow in Week 2 against the Bills and had just returned last Sunday against the Packers, rushing six times for 10 yards. With Moreno now out for the season, the Dolphins' backfield belongs to Lamar Miller, with Damien Williams and Daniel Thomas battling for backup touches.
I was at the game... saw NOTHING, except 2 dumb calls where Moreno appeared afraid to even be getting the ball inside the 5. He clearly wasn't ready to play and Philbin made the wrong call by having Moreno getting the ball.
