Manning has been diagnosed with a torn plantar fascia in his right foot, ESPN's Adam Schefter.
EDGE Analysis
Manning was slowed by a foot injury this week, and it appears he is dealign with more than just simple soreness. It remains to be seen if his injury will cost him any further action, but if it does, Brock Osweiler would step in as the starting quarterback in his place.
thats great. we know he hides injuries and then uses them as an excuse after the fact. how about a little bit of truth, his arm is shot and he is now holding back the team. everyone has to take a seat at some point. go gracefully into the HoF.
Yeah I think they know that his season is about to be over and that's why they put him in this game so he could break the record at home before he is shut down for the next few games and possibly the season.
Joegibbs, well put. His noodle arm is done. I'm not so sure about the injury either, sounds like a great excuse to pull him while keeping his pride in place. He needs to retire after this season.
As mad as I am that he isn't producing this year, I feel worse for him as a person. Watching a legend like him at the end of his career. He's got nothing left. Hopefully he turns it around, or just decides it's time to move on.
Mention, compassion is a blessing for sure, but it's tough for me to feel bad for a guy that has made hundreds of millions from the game. If he does decide to play again next season, then it's clearly about the money because his arm is done. I'm not even sure a team would pay him what he'd want to be their starter. JMHO.

agreed. Favre suffered in his last year too.
