Malcom Floyd says his body feels better right now than it ever has.
Various injuries have previously crippled Floyd, causing him to miss nine games over the last two seasons. Now healthy, he's emerged as Philip Rivers' No. 1 wideout and has racked up 14 times in the first two games. Those targets figure to take a little hit once Antonio Gates (ribs) gets back, but Floyd is a unique athlete at 6-foot-5. Robert Meachem and Rivers aren't on the same page.
And as long as he keeps feeling good, with his skills, QB, and supporting cast Floyd will keep putting up awesome numbers. I really believe all of the factors a WR needs to have a top-ten year are there for Floyd. As far as this week, the SD-ATL game has the makings of a shoot out, and Floyd could have a monster game against the ATL cornerbacks. The East coast teams that head west and vice-versa have shown to be vulnerable, so Floyd should continue his great start.
Floyd over Colston (and I'm a rabid Saints fan) without a doubt, and please don't put Turner over DMC. DMC was a great pick, don't worry, he'll come through. (shhh, I'm thinking trap game for Steelers, and a Raiders win. Polamalu and Harrison out, big losses for Steelers.)
Dude. That has nothing to do with floyd. Are you going to run your own team or just let everyone do it for you? People need to make up their own mind and stop bogging down these comment pages to flaunt their indecisiveness.
That being said, Floyd was really turning it on at the end of last year. With VJax gone, I grabbed him late round as a sleeper pick and it's working out great. I can't imagine him not putting up top 20 wr numbers, even wouldn't be surprised with top 15. And I don't agree that gates will eat into his targets. If anything, it'll open up the middle of the field as the linebackers will have one more guy to keep an eye on. Watch out for this guy.
MGD....thanks for saying that about all of these FF players that can't make any decisions on their own. My god it's pathetic! Wonder if they go to the men's room and ask someone of they should sit or stand.
I hear ya guys, people do need to run their own teams and gain experience, but some may just be getting into the game and want some pointers. Either they figure out how to play or don't, cause FF isn't for everybody. Helfer, go with your gut and just have fun. Going back to Floyd, Ive been saying what MGD said for a while; Floyd is now officially the #1 option in an explosive offense. No more Jackson, Gates still good and will occupy the middle of the D but not the same force, and Meachem will take the top off the D but expectedly isn't in tune with Rivers like Malcom. It's his first year in SD; I couldn't believe he was being ranked above Floyd. We may be even be short-changing him saying top 15, as the components are there for him to possibly be top 10!
Actually I do know how to run my FF league as I was just trying to get a feel what other people were thinking.I have won 2 yrs in a row so how's that 4 knowing how 2 run my team
That largely depends on how competitive your league is. For instance, winning an espn run league is basically a prerequisite to getting into most of the leagues I belong to. Heck, even going undefeated in a public league isn't a huge challange sometimes. If you need to get some advice, whatever. But go find a forum for it. This isn't the place.
Your a dork getting in other peoples business.I was asking a question because this fantasy on what other people may be thinking and u have 2 be a smart a**.
And as I said, I have no problem with that. But there are forums designed for that. Try fantasy shark tank. They have a huge advice forum where you can ask questions like that and get responses from people who care while at the same time not having to worry about getting a load of crap from people like me. Sounds much better, doesn't it?
