Malcom Floyd caught three passes for 45 yards against the Vikings in Week 1. Floyd was targeted eight times (five more than Vincent Jackson), but failed to capitalize. Most weeks Floyd will be the fourth target in the passing game, leaving him just shy of WR3 value.

8 targets is a good sign for owners of this guy. He will get his shots. Especially ones down the field. I think this guy could be the x-factor of the Chargers offense this year. Of course the teams are going to focus on Jackson and Gates. But the 4th option in the passing game? That is a stretch...Look at his stats from last year. He averaged over 70 yards a game with 6 TDs in only 10 games! I can see getting 1,000 yards and 8 TD's easily, if he can stay healthy.

It is truly intriguing to see how harsh these little player reviews are, then come projection-time these outlandish numbers appear. Is it some weird method that FF analysts use to cover their own asses?

They projected Floyd at 85 yards this past week if I remember correctly . Sounds more like a WR2-3 to me.
