Malcom Floyd caught four passes for 66 yards and a touchdown in the Chargers Week 1 win over the Raiders. Philip Rivers found Floyd in the back of the endzone from six yards out for the Bolts lone touchdown of the night. He also caught a pretty 23-yard pass down the right sideline while working on Raiders cornerback Ronald Bartell. Floyd is obviously Rivers' No. 2 option in the passing game right now while Meachem and Rivers still work to find their chemistry. He's not much more than a WR3/4, though.

Floyd was one of the best bargains in the draft this year - not a lot of competition on a pass 1st offense and has shown in years past his chemistry w/Rivers is already there - Meachum is nothing more than waiver wire fodder - maybe 2-4 games a season he'll be worth a WR3/4 but no consistency - too many drops ! Brees was nice about it - Rivers will bite his ear off.
