Malcom Floyd caught four passes for 66 yards and a touchdown in the Chargers Week 1 win over the Raiders.
Philip Rivers found Floyd in the back of the endzone from six yards out for the Bolts lone touchdown of the night. He also caught a pretty 23-yard pass down the right sideline while working on Raiders cornerback Ronald Bartell. Floyd is obviously Rivers' No. 2 option in the passing game right now while Meachem and Rivers still work to find their chemistry. He's not much more than a WR3/4, though.
Not sure why an underachiever like Meachem would be considered Rivers top wr target as opposed to Floyd. Also this column dismisses Floyd as a wr 3/4 when hes at least a wr 2/3 with Rivers as his qb.
