Malcom Floyd caught four passes for 66 yards and a touchdown in the Chargers Week 1 win over the Raiders. Philip Rivers found Floyd in the back of the endzone from six yards out for the Bolts lone touchdown of the night. He also caught a pretty 23-yard pass down the right sideline while working on Raiders cornerback Ronald Bartell. Floyd is obviously Rivers' No. 2 option in the passing game right now while Meachem and Rivers still work to find their chemistry. He's not much more than a WR3/4, though.

Calling Floyd a WR3/4 is one of the worst pieces of fantasy analysis I've ever heard. Yeah, maybe in an 8-team league. If the Raiders best WRs were healthy, this would've been a shoot out and Floyd would've made even more plays. But with the Raiders also botch-snapping and penalizing that game away, the Chargers didn't need to throw towards the end, closing out a still solid night for Malcom. Watch, Floyd will finish as a top ten WR with a top ten QB winging it to him and other weapons keeping defenses from constantly putting all the attention on him.

Oh, and when Palmer's WRs get healthy and stop dropping balls, expect him to finish as one of the best bargains of this year. Anyone see the 297 yds he tossed for despite a terrible night for the Raiders? Owners who stockpiled talent at other positions and waited for Palmer or another supposed "lower" tier QB will be rewarded, IF you picked the right QB.

To be specific on Floyd, he will put up a healthy Vincent Jackson-in-SD type year, but maybe better.
