Josh Freeman has been diagnosed with a concussion. The ongoing saga of the Vikings quarterback mess takes another twist. Freeman is not expected to get cleared in time for Sunday night's game against the Packers, meaning Christian Ponder will start. Ponder was essentially benched in favor of Matt Cassel earlier this year, but has since leapfrogged back into the No. 2 role. He can't play any worse than Freeman did in a humiliating Monday night loss to the Giants (20-of-53 for 190 yards with one interceptions). Ponder did shred the Packers for 234 yards with three touchdowns and no picks in Week 17 last year.
