Jonathan Stewart rushed just 10 times for 51 yards and added one reception for six yards versus the Redskins in Week 9. Coach Ron Rivera said he wanted to feed Stewart more consistently so he could better develop a hot hand. He lied. Stewart broke off runs of 11, 17, and 21 yards on his first five carries, but the Panthers liberally sprinkled in DeAngelo Williams and Mike Tolbert in a committee attack. After meeting with the tailbacks this week, FOX analyst Daryl Johnston was under the impression that the timeshare would be back in effect. Barring statements from Rivera to the contrary, Stewart won't have a feature back's workload in Week 10 versus the Broncos.
