Jeremy Maclin caught three passes for 54 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's rout of the Cowboys.
Two of Maclin's catches came on Philadelphia's opening drive, which he capped off with a 12-yard touchdown. He was targeted just three times on the evening, as Michael Vick locked onto Brent Celek and Jason Avant with Dallas intent on not getting burned downfield. Maclin had reeled in at least five catches in five consecutive games. He should fare better against Chicago's below-average secondary in Week 9.
It's hard to not go with Stevie Johnson, but against the Jets he's definitely avoidable. Decker is too much of a risk with Tebow at QB. That leaves you with Maclin, Nelson and Baldwin. Maclin is a must-start, Nelson's a big part of the offense and Baldwin against the Dolphins pass defense, I'll think he'll at least have a TD. If you're only picking 2, def. Maclin and probably Nelson. I take that back about Baldwin, too hard to play him till you see what his role in the offense will be and how often Cassel throws to him. I'm hearing he is taking Breaston's spot in the slot.
anyone #1 WR playing the Jets should be benched unless its dire. Maclin because the Bears can't cover the middle cause of Jackson and Jordy because Decker has Tebow for a QB now.
The best practice is to have 2 guys you're ready to roll with each week regardless of matchup, then if you need a 3rd pick 1 from who's left. When you keep trying to mix and match every week you run into problems.
I'm talking about RB's and WR's of course. On one of my teams the only 2 RB's I have that are viable are Rice and Battle and I actually kind of like it because then you have less decisions to make. You roll with who you got and hope it works out.
