ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Josh Gordon will argue in his appeal hearing this his positive marijuana test was the result of second-hand smoke.
The news comes to light after it was revealed that Gordon's positive test was barely above the NFL's strict threshold. Gordon would have tested negative for marijuana in Major League Baseball, the Olympics and even the federal government. It shines a light on just how odious the NFL's marijuana policy is. Gordon's appeal will be heard on Friday.
You still think eight? At this rate it is starting to feel like a 4-gamer! And if so, what absolute pillaging getting him off the free agent heap by me a few hours ago! *Breaths on fingernails, rubs fingernails on shirt, all while not understanding why that means being proud of one's self*
it seemed like the sky was falling....failed test, pulled over with friend who had weed, dui and then picked up by a gangsta. i get nervous, trade him away and now suddenly am regretting it.
Hardly Performance Enhancing though! Can they let Ray Rice off with two games, Robert Irsay off with a slap on the wrist and enforce ANY ban on such flimsy grounds? Particularly when the NFL is reassessing its Marijuana policy anyway? Yes, I too have him in a league or two , and just drafted him in Round 17! But the argument for a ban looks rather weak, not to say hypocritical. How many states have legalised/decriminalised?
Yeah, the weed is getting flimsy, but he also got in plenty of other trouble this offseason that didn't involve urine samples. He's still likely to take a significant hit - unless Goodell wants to use leniency with Gordon to shift the focus away from Ray Rice and ESPN (the NFL's slave).
somebody needs to help this young man.a slap on the wrist wont do anything. I TS BECOME MORE than his football skills now . He needs some serious help.Worry about football after he gets help.
i dont care if you suspend him for a year or a day, that's not the kind of help he needs. he needs to find a new set of friends that drink and beat chicks, not sit back and smoke weed.

Nah, they'll probably still end up crapping all over him for the other two infractions. My luck isn't that good.

Oof, rock solid slam joe, but that one made me flinch. It was a like a slap across the face. That briefly knocked me out.
In a casino elevator.
