Daniel Thomas (hamstring) is "optimistic" he'll be available for Week 9 after practicing for the second straight day Thursday. However, the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero reports the Dolphins remain "worried" about Thomas' status. Thomas will likely be questionable on Friday's injury report, but should be considered a game-time decision after his surprising Week 8 deactivation. If he ends up missing his second straight game, Reggie Bush should easily lead the Dolphins in touches against Kansas City's 22nd ranked run defense, though Steve Slaton and perhaps Lex Hilliard will be mixed in.

I'll never understand why coaches and trainers always rush players back after a hamstring injury. It's one of the slowest healing injuries and very susceptible to re-injury.

Had they sat him for the first month of the season with the by week it would have given him 6 weeks to heal before his first serious action and he would probably be 100% now. Instead every time he get to 80-85% the stick him out there and he aggravates it. The Texans sat Foster for a month and look at him now.

I couldn't agree more.
