Corner Lockdown - Week fantasysharks.com Thu 10/3/13 9:00 AM5 Comments

Around the League Danny Woodhead is turning into a nice fantasy option for owners, especially in PPR leagues. He's coming off a great Week 4 against Dallas where he scored two receiving touchdowns. He had over 80 total yards with five catches and should be picked up in all leagues right now. At the very least Woodhead is a solid flex play and in PPR leagues he's a solid RB2. Over the last three games he has 20 receptions and has earned the trust of quarterback Philip Rivers so look for Woodhead to continue to see his share of targets moving forward. He's only owned in about 50% of fantasy leagues so add him while you still can. Woodhead is a must-start this weekend against the Raiders. Though Denver does have three able running backs that see carries, Knowshon Moreno is still the one to own and start at this point. Owners have been frustrated at the timeshare that Moreno has been in with Ronnie Hillman and rookie Montee Ball, but you need to continue starting Moreno no matter what. This Broncos offense is scoring at a record pace and he is the only back that Peyton Manning trusts right now. Moreno will see most of the carries for the time being and most of the goal line work, although Hillman did get a short yardage touchdown in Week 3. The bottom line is that the running back position is depleted in fantasy this season, so if you own Moreno he should be in your starting lineup. Denver is a powerhouse and the main running back will keep seeing quality work. Shark Sleepers Rashad Jennings , RB Oakland Raiders In all likelihood, Jennings will get the start for the Raiders in Week 5 because of injuries to both Darren McFadden and Marcel Reece . This makes him a very interesting fantasy option against San Diego. The Chargers defense has been pretty good against the run so far this year, but I still like Jennings' chances as a flex option this week because he is a solid pass catcher as well. Oakland will probably be playing from behind so look for him to have a good amount of targets in the passing game along with double digit carries. If he can find the end zone, Jennings could be in line for 12-15 fantasy points and closer to 20 in PPR leagues. I wouldn't call him a must-start, but with four teams on a bye you could do a lot worse than starting Jennings. Alshon Jeffery , WR Chicago Bears Jeffery has been a beast the last two weeks for Chicago, totaling 12 receptions for 158 yards and a score. He had a career best 107 yards last week and saw 11 targets so he's clearly cemented as the Bears' number two wide receiver. Chicago was playing catch-up all game against Detroit in Week 4 so that was the main reason he was getting so much work. But with New Orleans coming to town this week look for the same result out of Jeffery. He should see double digit targets once again and has a great shot for back-to-back 100 yard receiving games. Jeffery should be seen as a low end WR2, but more of a WR3/flex play this week. Either way he should have no problem reaching double digit fantasy points. Lock of the Week Eddie Lacy , RB Green Bay Packers Lacy was on a bye last week and dealt with a concussion the week before so the two week layoff might scare away fantasy owners, but who else are you really going to play at the running back spot? I think the rookie out of Alabama has a nice Week 5 against the Lions and picks up right where he left off before his injury. James Starks is out with a bad knee and Johnathan Franklin has fumbling issues, so Lacy should shoulder most of the load for Green Bay. There will be plenty of points scored in this contest and I expect Lacy to have no less than 15 carries and a handful of targets out of the backfield. Get him back in your lineups for Sunday and enjoy a solid day.

Lacy's headed for the hall bro. He's unstoppable

Yeah like Samkon Gado. Straight to the hall.

The only Hall I see him heading for is the hallway to his bedroom. "...headed for the hall"? That's a bold statement for what he has done so far.

Doesn't everyone know.... all SEC players end up in Canton_ He's got to "show & prove" before I tag him with the "lock of the week", on a mostly passing team, no less.... LOL
