Coach Mike Smith confirmed he now likes using his running backs in a committee. At this point, we can expect the snap count between Michael Turner and Jacquizz Rodgers to be close to even on a weekly basis. Turner's sluggish running is holding the Falcons' up-tempo scheme hostage. At this point, his only value to fantasy owners is as a goal-line back. "We feel like Jacquizz is a very viable option to carry the football and has done a nice job for us," Smith said. "It has become more of the vogue thing to do, to have a running back by committee."

turner losing a step is still better than many backs in the league. i think this is more for keeping his legs fresh as they head down the home stretch. they cant afford to pound him into the ground like in years past. blaming him for their offense becoming sluggish is just dumb. this league learns and catches up quick. this team is winning games by the hair on their buttock, yet a win is a win. every time they say turner is done, he has a great game. if rodgers was that much better, he would have been the starter from day one. today, he is not better than turner. maybe next season he will be. as a whole, if this team does not find a way to pull away and win comfortably, they will falter in the playoffs.

That's no doubt - Rodgers looks better and better only because Turner is looking worse - Granted the offense is not built around his "pounding" running game anymore as the ATL has gone to wide sweeps and inside cut back runs but Turner is not the back he once was. However - I agree, he's still got a lot in the tank and what a tank he is when he gets going. Don't know if I'd stake my playoff life on him though and for that reason I may just have to cut him loose to hold Moreno or even David Wilson. . .

in fantasy land, i dont have him but if the falcons want to go to the big game this year, they would need to keep him fresh(er) and happy. spiting carries is a fine idea but i dont think its holding the Falcons' up-tempo scheme hostage. those back are a very good change of pace combo.

I need to start one, Turner,Rodgers,Leshoure. I wanted Leshoure but he was just put on injury report. It seems his best games are against AFC South

i think its 50/50 on who will do better this weekend and throughout when it comes to turner and rodgers. i dont know how injured leshoure is. i guess i would go with rodgers just because turner is looking a bit tired at the moment.

I agree with Joe totally. And no matter what "scheme" Atlanta is running or any team for that matter. As an NFL team you have to have a guy that can fight for yards and "power run" . Having guys like J.Rodgers, LSH, "Speed Backs" are great for home runs and can make guys miss and make big plays. But sometimes you just need 4 yards. And Guys like Turner can break tackles and a team can be confident in him that he will not fumble. If you look at any team its all about being consistent.

can start three bryce brown, turner, marcel reece, ray rice, and charles need help

Brown, Turner (supposed to have a big game), and Rice, Fo Sho. McFadden may play so beware of Reece. If you don't like turner then Charles may do pretty good.
