Chris Johnson confirmed that the Titans plan to run more of a pass-heavy offense in 2012.
Titans second-year OC Chris Palmer has background in the run-and-shoot, and his scheme should become more fully integrated after Palmer's first offseason in Tennessee. "We were more of a smash-mouth team when I got here," Johnson said. "Now it is more of a passing offense." This is good news for fantasy sleeper Jake Locker, who will put up plenty of attempts when he replaces Matt Hasselbeck.
Well, my faith was with CJ, whom I drafted. Don't want to hear they will try to pass more. Also mystified that you think Locker can pass better than Hasselbeck. All I'm saying is that with those two QB's I am astounded that they would try a pass heavy offense.
8.2 YPA is pretty solid, especially for a rookie not getting consistent snaps with the first team offense in practice. Locker is a running quarterback, which is a big help to running backs. Why do you think LeSean McCoy had such a monster season? Because edge defenders hesitated an extra second on hand-offs, afraid Vick would burn them on a fake. Locker has a big arm and a big future, he's the guy you want starting for the Titans. And if Locker wins out, they probably won't throw it as much, further helping your CJ2K cause. Relax, Johnson is going for 1300 and 10, no problem.
lol....To be honest, I don;t know that much about Locker ther than his stats. I haven't seen him play, but I'm pretty sure Hasselbeck is done. Might as well give him some reps.

Are they serious? You do know who your QB's are, don't you? Geez.

Locker is fully capable of running a successful offense. The sooner they bench hasselbeck, the faster this plan will work. Have some faith.

Thank you. Couldn't have said it better.

No problem. Although to be fair, I just jettisoned Alex Smith in favor of Locker as my QB2, so my optimism is pretty self-serving, lol
