According to ESPN's Jim Trotter, it would take something "catastrophic" for Derek Carr to start this season. It's May, so virtually every rookie quarterback is getting told he's a backup. But once the Raiders get an up-close look at starter Matt Schaub in game action, we suspect something "catastrophic" could happen. Schaub, now 33, is coming off a season that saw him set a new record for most pick-sixes in a season and get benched in favor of Case Keenum.

Not only last year you could say it started week 12 of the previous season
