Pacheco (rest) is inactive for Sunday's Week 18 matchup against the Raiders, Matt McMullen of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pacheco turned in a trio of limited practices during Week 18 prep before heading into the weekend with a questionable tag, and the fourth-year pro's inactive status is now official. Pacheco's absence Sunday will leave the Chiefs' ground attack in the hands of Kareem Hunt, Brashard Smith and Dameon Pierce, with the latter garnering active status for the first time during his short tenure in Kansas City.

Pacheco (rest) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Las Vegas.
EDGE Analysis
Pacheco was listed as limited on all three of the Chiefs' Week 18 injury reports with rest, while fellow RB Kareem Hunt didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday due to an illness before returning to a full session Friday. Having said that, Pacheco is entering the weekend with a designation, and Hunt is not. Kansas City is out of playoff contention, so the team may opt to rest Pacheco, but such a decision doesn't need to be made until about 90 minutes before Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. If Pacheco is inhibited or sidelined this weekend, Hunt, Brashard Smith and Dameon Pierce would be lined up to handle the backfield.

Pacheco rushed nine times for 32 yards and wasn't targeted in the Chiefs' 20-13 loss to the Broncos on Thursday night.
EDGE Analysis
Pacheco saw two more carries than backfield mate Kareem Hunt but gained six fewer yards. The fourth-year back was stymied more frequently than even his 3.6 yards per carry suggests, as outside of a 13-yard game-long run, Pacheco netted just 19 yards on his other eight rush attempts. The Rutgers product will be looking to snap an unfavorable streak in the Week 18 road matchup against the Raiders to close out the season, one that's seen Pacheco fail to clear 40 rushing yards in five consecutive games.

Pacheco carried the ball eight times for 34 yards and caught six of seven targets for 41 yards in Sunday's 26-9 loss to the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
Kareem Hunt saw only three carries on the day, and one of them turned into a two-yard loss for a safety in the second quarter. As a result, Pacheco saw his biggest touch volume since Week 7 and put together season-high numbers as a receiver. The Kansas City offense is in shambles with Patrick Mahomes and Gardner Minshew going down with knee injuries in consecutive weeks, leaving Chris Oladokun as the likely starting QB for what's left of a lost season. With the team already eliminated from playoff contention, the veteran Hunt could be phased out of the offense, with Pacheco and even 2025 seventh-round pick Brashard Smith seeing more work over the final two weeks, including in a Week 17 battle against the Broncos.

Pacheco rushed 11 times for 21 yards in the Chiefs' 16-13 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Pacheco logged five more carries than backfield mate Kareem Hunt, but neither back made any inroads against a Chargers defense that had often struggled to stop the run this season. Pacheco's carry total was his highest since Week 8, yet he's yet to eclipse 58 rushing yards during the campaign. Pacheco will finish out the regular season without the benefit of the threat Patrick Mahomes (knee) typically poses to opposing defenses, as the talented signal-caller tore his ACL in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Pacheco recorded nine carries for 30 yards during Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Texans.
EDGE Analysis
Pacheco's workload ramped up a bit in his second game back from injury, but he was still limited to just nine touches after handling just five a week ago versus the Cowboys. Kareem Hunt has handled a heftier workload in both contests. That's not guaranteed to continue, but Pacheco and Hunt should both see their fair share of totes. The Chiefs falling behind earlier and more often doesn't help the running back room's cause either, and it doesn't get much easier with the Chargers and Broncos on the schedule in two of the next three games.

Pacheco carried the ball three times for 16 yards and caught both his targets for 17 yards in Thursday's 31-28 loss to the Cowboys.
EDGE Analysis
After missing the prior three games due to a knee injury, Pacheco was back in action but found himself firmly behind Kareem Hunt in the backfield pecking order, as the veteran turned 15 touches into 80 yards from scrimmage. Hunt's recent success appears to have solidified his spot at the top of the depth chart, and Pacheco -- who has yet to reach 60 rushing yards in any game this season -- will likely struggle to make an impact on limited volume Week 14 against the Texans.

Head coach Andy Reid confirmed Tuesday that Pacheco (knee) will play in the Chiefs' Thanksgiving Day game in Dallas, Nate Taylor of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pacheco has been sidelined for the past four weeks and has missed three games while recovering from an MCL sprain, but he's in the clear to return to the lineup after being listed as a full participant on Kansas City's first two Week 13 practice reports. The 26-year-old had played at least 50 percent of the Chiefs' offensive snaps in seven of his first eight appearances prior to getting hurt, but he may have to settle for a lesser role upon his return, at least initially. Kareem Hunt filled in acceptably as Kansas City's lead back over the past three games with three rushing touchdowns to go with 247 yards from scrimmage on 59 touches, and he could end up handling the brunt of the work again Thursday if the Chiefs want to ease Pacheco back in from the knee injury.

Pacheco (knee) is optimistic that he'll be able to play Thursday against the Cowboys, though the Chiefs have yet to make a final decision regarding his status, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pacheco has been sidelined since Week 8 with a sprained MCL but returned to practice ahead of Kansas City's Week 12 matchup against the Colts. He logged an additional estimated full practice Monday, which seemingly sets him up to return on Thanksgiving afternoon against the Cowboys. However, a short week complicates his outlook a bit. Even if he is active, Pacheco would likely still be in a split backfield with Kareem Hunt, who has operated as the primary back in Pacheco's absence.

Pacheco (knee) was listed as full on Monday's estimated injury report.
EDGE Analysis
The Chiefs didn't hold a practice in the wake of Sunday's overtime win against the Colts, but Pacheco began this week as he did last week with a full listing. He proceeded to be a limited practice participant Thursday and Friday before coach Andy Reid ruled Pacheco out for Week 12 action. How Pacheco is listed Tuesday and Wednesday likely will determine whether Kansas City gives him a chance to play Thursday at Dallas. If he's able to suit up, he may be doing so with the brace that he's been wearing to protect his right knee, and his eventual workload could be limited considering Kareem Hunt has taken on the vast majority of RB reps during Pacheco's current three-game absence.
