Bryant (undisclosed) was waived with a non-football injury designation Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bryant finished the 2021 campaign on the non-football injury list and has now been cut by the Lions ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft. He went undrafted out of Washington in 2020 and caught one pass for 44 yards during his rookie campaign before sitting out the entirety of last season.

The Lions waived Bryant (undisclosed) on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Detroit frees up some roster space one day prior to the 2022 NFL Draft, waiving both Curtis Bolton and Bryant. The tight end spent the entire 2021 campaign on the reserve/non-football list, except for a stint on the COVID-19 list. Across five appearances in 2020, he was targeted three times.

Bryant (undisclosed) shifted from the reserve/COVID-19 list to the reserve/non-football injury list Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
EDGE Analysis
Bryant has been on the non-football injury list since April 29, but landed on the reserve COVID-19 list Jan 5. He'll enter his third season as a pro in 2022 having recorded just one career reception on three targets.

Bryant (undisclosed) was transferred to the reserve/COVID-19 list after testing positive for the virus Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bryant has been on the NFI list all season but will now be on the COVID list until he clears the league protocols. He caught one pass for 44 yards in five games as a rookie last season but won't end up seeing the field in 2021.

Bryant (undisclosed) has reverted to the Lions' reserve/Non-Football Injury list, NFL reporter Aaron Wilson reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bryant was just cut with a non-football injury designation, but he'll technically get to stick with Detroit while not counting against the team's 90-man roster. He appeared in five games as a rookie last season, recording one 44-yard catch while drawing three targets.

Detroit cut Bryant (undisclosed) with a non-football injury designation Wednesday, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bryant saw minimal action with the Lions in 2020 as a depth tight end, hauling in one of three targets for 44 yards in five games. The Washington product has had a history of concussions that has kept him off the field, but his release appears to stem from a different injury concern. Assuming he can pass a physical at some point, Bryant should at least be able to get an invite to an NFL training camp this summer.

Bryant saw one target but did not catch a pass during Sunday's 37-35 loss to the Vikings.
EDGE Analysis
That makes three targets on the season for the undrafted rookie out of Washington whose rookie debut was delayed by a combination of hamstring and head injuries. Not seeing action until Week 13, Bryant at least showcased a bit of explosion in his limited playing time (7.0 offensive snaps per game) this year by catching one of them for a 44-yard gain in Week 15. However, with both T.J. Hockenson and Jesse James under contract through at least 2022, the majority of Bryant's value resides in dynasty formats for the time being.

Bryant caught one of two targets for 44 yards during Sunday's 46-25 loss to the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
Lining up in the slot, the 6-foot-2 tight end (who's really more of a receiver) made a nice grab down the seam that marked his first catch as a pro. With Detroit out of playoff contention and none of the Lions' top four receivers under contract beyond this season, it'll be interesting to see if the Lions give the rookie an extended look during the final two games of the campaign.

Bryant logged four offensive snaps during Sunday's 31-24 loss to Green Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Bryant saw another handful of snaps after logging five in his professional debut last week against the Bears. While there's a chance interim head coach Darrell Bevell might experiment with the rookie down the stretch, Bryant will need to see a big jump in playing time to be worthy of fantasy attention.

Bryant (concussion) practiced fully for the third straight day Friday and doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Bears.
EDGE Analysis
Bryant's absence from the injury report suggests he has cleared the concussion protocol and should make his season debut Sunday. His role will likely be limited primarily to special teams duties, however, as Bryant's unlikely to unseat T.J. Hockenson or Jesse James from the top two spots on Detroit's tight end depth chart.
