EDGE Analysis
Smith has now tied his career-high for sacks in a season with 3.0 through just six games. The Vikings' defense has struggled a bit this year compared to years past but Smith has continued to be a dominant force. He and the Vikings will look to stack victories as they take on the Jets in Week 7.

Smith posted five tackles (four solo), including a sack, and forced a fumble in Sunday's loss to Buffalo.
EDGE Analysis
Smith has played like the top-flight safety he is through three weeks. His sack Sunday was his second of the year, meaning he's now tied for his second-highest season sack total of his career through only three games. He'll look to continue the strong play as the Vikings aim to notch a win against the Rams in Week 4.

Smith recorded eight tackles, including a sack, and an interception in Sunday's 24-16 win over San Francisco.
EDGE Analysis
Smith and the rest of the Vikings defense looked the part of last year's top ranked unit. An All-Pro in 2017, Smith is one of the best safeties in the NFL and he showcased his talent on Sunday. He'll have his work cut out for him against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers in Week 2.

Smith recorded 78 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 12 pass breakups and five interceptions over 16 games in 2017.
EDGE Analysis
Smith captained a Vikings defense that allowed the fewest yards in the league while limiting opponents to a 25.2 percent conversion rate on third downs -- the lowest rate ever recorded since the stat was introduced in 1991, according to the Vikings' official site. Not only did he earn first-team All-Pro honors for his performance, Smith also finished as Pro Football Focus' highest-graded safety where his 36.0 overall grade was nearly twice as high as the second-ranked Adrian Amos (18.3). He remains under contract with Minnesota in 2018 and should be considered among the first handful of safeties to be considered in fantasy drafts.

Smith had two interceptions, eight total tackles and a tackle for a loss in Saturday's win at Green Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Smith had a dominating performance as he was distruptive against the pass and the run. He isn't averaging as many tackles as last season (4.6 vs. 4.9) but still grades very well against the pass and the run. It was a shock he didn't make the NFC Pro Bowl roster as he could receive votes for defensive player of the year.

Smith (ankle) was a full participant in Wednesday's OTA, Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press reports. "I'm doing everything, so it's not really an issue," said Smith of his ankle Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
A high-ankle sprain forced Smith to miss two games late last season and ultimately required offseason surgery. Although he was reportedly limited earlier in OTAs, it appears that Smith's ankle is fully recovered. Despite being hampered by his ankle injury last season, Smith still managed to top 90 tackles for the third time in his career. Provided that he can stay healthy, there's little reason to think he can't have a repeat performance in 2017.
