Jennings announced Monday that he will retire from the NFL.
EDGE Analysis
The 32-year-old wide receiver out of Western Michigan ends his 10-year career with 571 receptions, 8,291 yards and 64 touchdowns to go along with two Pro Bowl selections. Jennings recorded three seasons in a row in Green Bay with at least 1,100 receiving yards and will be remembered as one of the most productive wideouts the franchise has seen. Unfortunately for Jennings, he was never able to return to Pro Bowl-level production after leaving Green Bay for Minnesota in 2013, but at his peak, he was one of the most productive receiving threats in the NFL.

Jennings was released by the Dolphins on Saturday, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 32-year-old played in all 16 games for Miami last season but was an afterthought in the offense, seeing just 36 targets. He has done little since leaving Green Bay after the 2012 season, and it's hard to imagine Jennings will return to relevance in 2016 no matter where he lands.

Jennings only had 19 receptions for 208 yards and one touchdown despite playing in every game this season.
EDGE Analysis
Jennings still has a contract to play in Miami next season but the emergence of Rishard Matthews and DeVante Parker relegated him to a backup roll in the second half of the season. The Dolphins and Jennings could look to part ways during the off-season.

Jennings was targeted once in Sunday's win over the Eagles, catching a nine-yard pass.
EDGE Analysis
After averaging over 40 snaps per game in the season's first four contests, Jennings has seen his role in Miami reduced dramatically under interim head coach Dan Campbell. In five games under Campbell, Jennings has yet to top 28 snaps and has been held in the single digits four times, including a season low of two on Sunday. Not surprisingly, Jennings production has suffered as a result, as he has combined for just four catches in the five games.

Jennings was targeted twice, but did not record a catch in Sunday's loss to Buffalo.
EDGE Analysis
Jennings has now been held catchless in consecutive games, seeing the field on just eight total snaps in the Dolphins' losses to New England and Buffao, according to Pro Football Focus. Not surprisingly, Kenny Stills saw his second and third biggest games of the season during the contests. Firmly situated as Miami's No. 4 receiver on a team with an excellent pass-catching running back in Lamar Miller, Jennings is unlikely to generate enough points to warrant inclusion on fantasy teams.

Jennings caught two passes off of two targets for 37 yards in Sunday's win over Houston.
EDGE Analysis
The 37 yards were Jennings most of the season thus far. The Dolphins went unusually run-heavy on Sunday while playing with a big lead, but don't expect a huge shift in the opposite direction with interim head coach Dan Campbell preachng physicality. When Miami does throw the ball, Jennings sits far behind Jarvis Landry, Rishard Matthews and Jordan Cameron in the pecking order, the trio combining for a combined 58 percent of the team's targets this season.

Jennings caught one pass off of one target for 13 yards in Sunday's win over the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran receiver has been held to one or no catches in three of the Dolphins' five games this season. Aftering being brought in to bring a veteran presence to the Dolphins' receiving corps, Jennings ranks sixth on the team in receptions and fourth in targets through six weeks. With the Dolphins appearing committed to running the football more, Jennings may see his role reduced even further.

Jennings had three receptions for only 15 yards in Sunday's loss to the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Jennings is still starting over DeVante Parker (no receptions Sunday) but you have to believe that will be coming to an end shortly as the Dolphins are struggling on offense and could use an infusion of talent.

Jennings caught just one of his three targets for 10 yards in Sunday's loss to the Bills.
EDGE Analysis
With four catches on 11 targets for 39 yards through the first three weeks of the season, Jennings is off the fantasy radar for now, given that he is behind both Jarvis Landry and Rishard Matthews in the Dolphins' wideout pecking order.

Jennings caught all three of his targets for 29 yards in Sunday's game against the Redskins.
EDGE Analysis
There were questions about what role the veteran would play in a relatively deep Dolphins receiving corps, and he appeared to be nothing more than an ancillary option on Sunday. Miami figures to throw a lot this season and there will be targets to go around, but Jennings simply won't see consistent volume the way things stand. Next on the schedule is a trip to Jacksonville in Week 2.
