49ers signed TEs Gijon Robinson and Joe Sawyer. G Garrett Chisolm was waived in a corresponding move. Robinson and Sawyer will provide insurance for TEs Delanie Walker and Nate Byham, who are dealing with minor injuries. Neither Robinson nor Sawyer is particularly likely to make it past first cuts.

Jaguars released TE Gijon Robinson. Robinson is really just a blocker and H-back at 6'1/255. The ex-Colt was always a longshot for the final roster as Greg Jones is one of the league's premier blocking backs.

Both players have fallen well behind Jacob Tamme and Brody Eldridge in the pecking order. Robinson managed just three catches in 11 games last season while Santi failed to suit up in 2010.
