Everett (back) is on track to play Sunday against the Eagles, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Everett is officially considered questionable, but coach Sean McVay said Friday he expects him to play and that doesn't appear to have changed heading into Sunday. The 26-year-old likely will still need to be cleared via a pregame workout before the 1 p.m. ET kickoff, but he's currently expected to play in Philadelphia.

Everett (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Philadelphia, but coach Sean McVay said he expects the tight end to play, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Everett suffered his injury in a Week 1 win over Dallas, catching one of two targets for seven yards on 33 percent snap share before he left the game. His role doesn't appear to offer much promise for fantasy purposes, but he still has value to the Rams for two-TE formations. Confirmation of his Week 2 availability may have to wait until Sunday morning when the Rams release their inactive list before a 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

Everett (back) was a limited practice participant Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Prior to the session, coach Sean McVay told Eric D. Williams of SI.com that he expected Everett to take part in some capacity after sitting out Wednesday due to a bruise on his lower back, an injury that isn't believed to be a concern in the long term. Friday's practice report will be telling for Everett's Week 2 availability.

Everett (back) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
While he got the start Week 1 against the Cowboys, Everett played second fiddle to Tyler Higbee, earning 24 offensive snaps to the latter's 65 (out of 73 total). Everett incurred a back injury in the second half, though, so the breakdown of work is understandable. On Monday, coach Sean McVay didn't consider any of the Rams' health concerns to be serious, but just two days later, Everett was unable to take any reps on the practice field. Everett has two more days to put himself in a position to suit up Sunday at Philadelphia.

Coach Sean McVay said the Rams emerged from Sunday's 20-17 win against the Cowboys with "no significant injuries," which includes Everett (back), Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Everett left the game in the second half with a back issue, which contained him to 24 of 73 (33 percent) of the team's snaps on offense and one catch (on two targets) for seven yards. The Rams will take the practice field Wednesday, at which point the tight end's status could receive some clarity.

Everett is questionable to return to Sunday's game against Dallas due to a back injury, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Everett caught one of two targets for seven yards prior to getting injured. If the tight end is unable to return to this one, he'll set his sights on getting back on the field for the Rams' Week 2 trip to Philadelphia.

The Rams received multiple calls inquiring about the availability of Everett, but the team declined to entertain them, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Everett is in the final year of his rookie contract, and while it's probably safe to say his tenure with the Rams has been a disappointment since being selected in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft, there have been plenty of promising signs from the athletic tight end. Everett has flashed big-play potential in limited playing time over the past three years with 14 receptions going for more than 20 yards and seven touchdowns on only 142 targets. Additionally, the Rams are expected to utilize more two-TE formations, and there are enough weapons in the Los Angeles offense to create mismatches to capitalize on. Everett shouldn't be written off just yet, and while he could be a frustrating player to rely on week-in, week-out, expect a number of solid showings throughout the year. In particular, he could prove to be a solid low-priced target for DFS players and/or a streaming option in season-long formats.

Coach Sean McVay believes he can do a better job utilizing Everett in the Rams offense, Cameron DaSilva of Rams Wire reports. "Really, really excited about what Gerald Everett's going to do," McVay said Monday. "I think Tyler Higbee did a phenomenal job, but I think Gerald Everett's a guy that I've got to do a better job of utilizing his skill set because he's a difference-maker."
EDGE Analysis
Everett appeared on track for his long-awaited breakout as recently as early November, averaging 55.6 yards and 8.2 targets over a five-game stretch Weeks 5-10. He slowed down over the next couple games and then suffered a knee injury, opening the door for Tyler Higbee to go wild in December. Higbee is now locked in as the Rams' No. 1 tight end in the first season of a four-year, $29 million extension, but Everett could also see a decent share of snaps and targets if McVay increases his usage of two-TE formations. Of course, that involves the sacrifice of taking Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods or Brandin Cooks off the field, assuming Cooks isn't traded at some point in the coming months. In any case, Everett is entering the final season of his rookie contract, and quite possibly his final season with the Rams.

Everett didn't play an offensive snap during Sunday's 31-24 win over Arizona. He did see the field for two special-teams snaps.
EDGE Analysis
The third-year tight end appeared to be headed for a breakout campaign with 18 receptions for 239 yards and two touchdowns during Weeks 4 through 7, but then a wrist injury cut into his practice time and hurt his production. Everett then sustained a knee injury in late November, which kept him out Weeks 13 through 15 before playing just four offensive snaps over the final two games of the year. Making matters worse, fellow tight end Tyler Higbee emerged as a go-to option in the passing attack and accumulated 43 receptions for 522 yards and two touchdowns over the final five games of the year. The Rams invested a second-round selection in 2017 in Everett, so he's going to have opportunities to carve out a role in 2020. However, his fantasy stock is definitely trending in the wrong direction despite his high-end athleticism and potential.

Everett failed to catch his only target and played just four offensive snaps during Saturday's 34-31 loss to San Francisco.
EDGE Analysis
It's been a disappointing campaign for Everett, and especially over the past few weeks. Just when it looked like everything was coming together for the athletic tight end, he sustained a knee injury in mid-November, which eventually sidelined him for three weeks. Additionally, fellow tight end Tyler Higbee has stepped up with four consecutive games of at least 100 receiving yards. With nothing on the line in Week 17, it wouldn't be surprising if Everett was once again scarcely involved in the offense to ensure he's 100 percent healthy heading into the offseason.
