Escobar was released by the Dolphins on Monday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Escobar re-signed with Miami after failing to make the 53-man roster, but he'll now return to the open market with the Dolphins needing to open up a roster spot for the signing of center Travis Swanson. Miami will now return to having just three healthy tight ends on the roster, with Mike Gesicki operating as the top pass catching option within the unit.

The Dolphins signed Escobar to a contract Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
After failing to make much of an impression in the preseason, Escobar was trimmed from the 53-man roster Friday while the Dolphins kept four tight ends. He'll make his way back to Miami, however, after the team's projected starter at the position, MarQueis Gray, was limited at practice Wednesday with a foot injury that resulted in his placement on injured reserve Thursday. Mike Gesicki will get the first crack at the No. 1 role at tight end while Gray is sidelined, so Escobar likely won't get an immediate chance for consistent snaps on offense unless the rookie falters early on.

Escobar was released by the Cowboys on Friday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Escobar played in just two games for Baltimore last season and was competing for a depth role with the Dolphins. The five-year veteran will look to catch on with another club in 2018.

Escobar signed a contract with the Dolphins on Monday, Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Dolphins haven't had a reliable tight since they let Charles Clay walk in 2015 and will kick the tires on Escobar, a 2013 second-rounder who is yet to live up to his lofty pedigree. Escobar won't provide much in terms of in-line blocking, but he profiles as a dangerous receiving threat and could realistically make a name for himself on a depth chart headed by the uninspiring MarQuies Gray.

Escobar was released by Cleveland on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Escobar, a second-round pick by the Cowboys in 2013, played only two games for the Ravens last season and did not catch a single target. Praised as an athletic prospect coming out of college, Escobar has struggled to earn a role exceeding rotational depth in his NFL career. The 27-year-old had no guarantees to make the Browns' 53-man roster, and will likely face a similar situation wherever he lands.

The Browns signed Escobar to a reserve/future contract Monday.
EDGE Analysis
A 2013 second-round pick, Escobar is a veteran of 64 career games in his five NFL seasons, though he only made two appearances in 2017, both of which came with Baltimore. The 26-year-old was lauded for his pass-catching skills coming out of college, but his lack of speed and unrefined blocking have limited his on-field opportunities up to this point in his career. He'll do well to win a roster spot with Cleveland as a depth tight end coming out of training camp in 2018.

Escobar was waived by the Ravens on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Escobar was waived in order to make room for Danny Woodhead, who activated off injured reserve Saturday. Escobar only played in two games for the Ravens, but will now get a chance to join on with another team in need of tight end depth.

The Ravens signed Escobar to a contract Monday, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
With four other tight ends on the active roster, Escobar might not have much longevity with the Ravens, but he'll at least boost the team's depth at the position in the short term while Maxx Williams contends with an ankle injury. A former second-round pick of the Cowboys in 2013, Escobar largely failed to live up to his strong reputation as a receiver coming out of college during his four years in Dallas. Over 62 career games with the Cowboys, Escobar managed only 30 receptions for 333 yards and eight touchdowns.

Escobar is signing a one-year contract with the Chiefs, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Escobar arrived in Kansas City for a visit Friday, and apparently did enough to earn a contract offer from the Chiefs. After entering the league as a second-round pick in 2013, Escobar struggled to make much of an impact behind future Hall of Famer Jason Witten, registering only 30 catches for 333 yards and eight touchdowns in 62 games. Although playing with a tight end-friendly quarterback like Alex Smith could bode well for Escobar, having Pro Bowler Travis Kelce on the roster will again restrict him to a reserve role.

Escobar is visiting with the Chiefs on Friday, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.
EDGE Analysis
A 2013 second-round selection, Escobar was stuck behind Jason Witten the past four years in Dallas, catching only 30 balls for 333 yards and eight touchdowns (on 48 targets) in 62 games. He'd likely have to compete for the No. 2 tight end job in Kansas City, where Travis Kelce (shoulder) is entrenched in the top spot.
