Giants signed DT Frank Okam, formerly of the Bucs. Okam, 27, has appeared in 25 career games, making 33 tackles. An original fifth-round pick of the Texans, Okam was out of the league in 2012. He faces extremely long odds of cracking the 53-man roster on a deep interior line in New York.

Bucs promoted DT Frank Okam from the practice squad. Okam was waived on Nov. 22 after making 10 tackles in six games earlier this season. He'll provide depth along Tampa's defensive line after DT John McCargo was placed on injured reserve Monday.

Buccaneers declared DL Frank Okam (calf), OG Jeremy Zuttah (knee), WR Sammie Stroughter, CB Myron Lewis, LB Zac Diles, OT James Lee, and DE Time Crowder inactive for Sunday's game against the Saints. Tampa Bay is relatively healthy coming off their bye. Okam did not participate in practice all week and was considered a long-shot to play. Roy Miller will provide depth behind Brian Price and Gerald McCoy. Ted Larsen will fill-in for Zuttah on the offensive line.
