Cardinals placed G/T Floyd "Pork Chop" Womack on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, ending his season. The extent of the injury wasn't revealed, but Womack has never been able to stay healthy. The journeyman lineman could be released later with a settlement, depending on the injury's severity. Womack turns 33 later this year.

Cardinals signed G Floyd Womack, formerly of the Browns. The man known as "Pork Chop" helps fill the void left by Deuce Lutui in the desert. He's started 24 games for the Browns over the last two seasons and provides good versatility off the bench. The Cardinals' line won't be decimated at all by the loss of Lutui.

The Cleveland Plain-Dealer's Terry Pluto believes free agent RG Floyd "Pork Chop" Womack coud return to the Browns as backup in 2011. Womack, now 32, can play either guard or tackle, and has started 24 games for the Browns over the past two seasons. He has a solid chance of being re-signed for depth.
