Forsett dealt with an ankle injury during Sunday's game, and he was limited to just 19 yards on 10 carries. If there's any indication of Forsett's Week 17 status being in question, Toussaint would become an interesting commodity. That being said, it's worth noting that the Baltimore running game has looked awful the past two weeks, and the team lost both of its starting tackles to injury during Sunday's loss.

Toussaint did not record any touches or targets in Sunday's 20-12 win over the Jaguars. With Lorenzo Taliaferro (foot) sidelined, Toussaint was promoted from the practice squad to serve as the No. 3 running back. The former Michigan Wolverine only played one snap, and he's unlikely to make an impact this season.

In a decision corresponding with Toussaint's release, Baltimore re-signed wide receiver Deonte Thompson on Tuesday.

The Ravens have promoted Toussaint from their practice squad, the Baltimore Sun reports. With Bernard Pierce heading into Sunday's game against the Browns listed as questionable, Toussaint gives the Ravens some added Week 3 RB depth behind Justin Forsett and Lorenzo Taliaferro, in the event that Pierce is out or limited this weekend.
