Evan Moore caught four passes for 35 yards in Sunday's win over the Seahawks.
Ben Watson sustained a concussion today, leading to extra snaps for Moore. And that's all the highly-athletic tight end needs to fill up the box score. At 6'6/250 with excellent hands, Moore immediately made his presence felt with tough catches over the middle. If Watson misses time, Moore will emerge as a sneaky option in deep formats.

Evan Moore caught two passes for 12 yards in Sunday's loss to the Raiders.
Moore played more than his usual handful of snaps and showed his athleticism by going up for an 11-yard grab. But the Browns targeted Alex Smith for a goal-line score and Ben Watson in the two-minute drill. Despite Moore's talents, he is off the fantasy radar.

Coach Pat Shurmur said Monday that TE Evan Moore will play more going forward.
Anyone with two eyes can see that Moore needs to be a major part of the Browns' passing game. He has unique athleticism and hands for a guy that goes 6'6/250. As an elite red-zone target, Moore will be a TE2 with upside if Shurmur is true to his word. Moore was previously only playing a fistful of snaps per game.

Browns TE Evan Moore expressed more frustration with his offensive role after seeing just two targets in Week 4 against Tennessee.
Losing is only going to exacerbate situational players' frustrations, and the Browns are coming off a blowout loss to Tennessee entering a Week 5 bye. "It's tough, it's very tough," said Moore, who caught one pass for 15 yards and continued to play sparingly. Asked if he expects his role to grow after the off week, Moore replied "I don't know. I honestly don't know. I don't know."

Evan Moore played on just 8-of-72 offensive snaps in last week's win over the Dolphins.
It's a mind-boggling number for a talented pass-catcher on a team devoid of that skill. Moore, who signed a two-year contract extension last month, indicated that he's talked to the coaching staff about his meager role. His snaps should rise as the year goes on, but for now Moore is unusable in fantasy.

Coach Pat Shurmur defended Evan Moore's lack of usage, saying, "You only get five skilled players at a time. You've got to balance (playing time)."
Despite difference-making size and pass-catching ability, Moore is barely used outside of special red zone packages. He has just three catches for 35 yards in the last two games. Until his snap count increases, Antonio Gates owners need to look elsewhere for help.

Browns TE Evan Moore played just 13 snaps against the Bengals in Week 1.
Moore's 6:13 target-to-snap ratio may be the highest in the league. The Browns don't trust him as a blocker, so he only plays as a weapon on key passing downs. In the short-term, the low snap count figures to hurt Moore's chances of a breakout season.

Browns signed TE Evan Moore to a two-year extension through 2013.
The deal is expected to pay Moore just under $3 million annually. A developing former Stanford basketball player, Moore lit up training camp and the preseason and is headed for a significant role on passing downs to open the season. He's on the TE2 radar, though it's possible Moore and Ben Watson will end up canceling each other out. We still like Moore in all Dynasty formats.

The Browns are close to completing a contract extension with TE Evan Moore, a source tells the Cleveland Plain-Dealer.
Moore was an exclusive rights free agent after last season, which essentially means he wasn't a free agent at all but was set to play this year on a one-year deal. After a monster training camp, Moore has earned a long-term deal. The Browns clearly plan to use him often this season as a pass-catching tight end.
