Eagles LG Evan Mathis was carted to the locker room with an undisclosed injury late in Sunday's game against the Giants. His afternoon is through. The Eagles' offensive line provided almost no protection for Michael Vick this afternoon, who was knocked out in the fourth quarter with a broken right hand. Mathis' status should be updated on Monday.

Eagles signed G Evan Mathis, formerly of the Bengals. The Eagles aren't done just yet. Mathis is an underrated veteran that has started 22 career games. His signing gives the Eagles depth on the interior and allows them to use Todd Herremans at right tackle if Winston Justice (knee) isn't ready. Quality signing.

Free agent OG Evan Mathis has interest in playing for the Cardinals, according to Mike Jurecki of XTRA 910 in Phoenix. We've mentioned this before, but Jurecki is pretty clued in when it comes to Cardinals Football matters. A Pro Football Focus favorite, Mathis is 29 years old and plays a position of need in Arizona. The fit makes plenty of sense on paper. The Cards are at risk of losing both of last year's starting guards.
