GM Howie Roseman says the Eagles remain in "constant communication" with free agent OG Evan Mathis.
Mathis has drawn interest from as many as four teams, but sounds like he might give the Eagles a chance to match any offer. With Carl Nicks and Ben Grubbs both off the market, Mathis is by far the best remaining free agent guard.

Free agent OG Evan Mathis will reportedly visit the Ravens.
The Eagles are now in danger of losing Mathis. The Ravens are in the market for a starter with Ben Grubbs still in New Orleans. Mathis would approximate Grubbs' production at a fraction of the cost.

In addition to the Colts, free agent OG Evan Mathis is reportedly drawing interest from the Redskins.
If they are truly interested in signing Mathis, team visits will follow. A favorite of Pro Football Focus, Mathis could be on the better bargain signings on the market. The Redskins are also keeping tabs on Ben Grubbs.

Free agent LG Evan Mathis hopes to re-sign with the Eagles.
"I'd like to return," Mathis said. "I do get the impression that they want me back. I have no idea how it will all play out. If someone else offered me twice the money and the Eagles wouldn't match it, would it make sense to return?" Mathis has hinted he would be willing to give the Eagles a slight "hometown discount," but can't negotiate before the start of free agency since he played under a "minimum salary benefit" contract in 2011. The third best guard on the market behind Carl Nicks and Ben Grubbs, there will be competition for his services.

Eagles GM Howie Roseman confirmed at the Combine that the team cannot re-sign free agent OG Evan Mathis or DT Derek Landri until the market officially opens on March 13.
Like Laurent Robinson and Jordan Babineaux, Mathis and Landri both played for the "minimum salary benefit" in 2011 and therefore must make it to the market unsigned per NFL policy. The Eagles want to re-sign both players, but their chances are decreased by the rule. Mathis, 30, is coming off a dominant season. He's the No. 3 guard on the market behind Carl Nicks and Ben Grubbs.

The Wilmington News Journal expects the Eagles to bring back impending free agent LG Evan Mathis in 2012.
Signed as a backup in late July, Mathis "found a permanent home in Howard Mudd's blocking schemes," according to beat writer Geoff Mosher. Along with LT Jason Peters, the underrated Mathis was named a starter on Pro Football Focus' 2011 All-Pro squad.

Eagles LG Evan Mathis (turf toe) said he is back to 100 percent.
Mathis' return to the lineup sends King Dunlap back to a reserve role and gives the offensive line a boost. Michael Vick took two sacks and cracked multiple ribs in last week's ugly home loss to the Cardinals.

Eagles LG Evan Mathis (turf toe) is inactive for Week 10's game against the Cardinals, and King Dunlap will start in his place.
It's going to be interesting to see the 6'9" tackle adjust to the guard position, and it could potentially prove problematic today. That said, we wouldn't go downgrading LeSean McCoy or the Eagles offense against a mediocre Cardinals defense. QB Mike Kafka, WR DeSean Jackson, T Winston Justice, DE Phillip Hunt, CB Curtis Marsh, and S Nate Allen round out the list.

Eagles LG Evan Mathis has turf toe and underwent an MRI this week.
It's potentially a blow to the Eagles' offense. Their line was just coming around thanks to improved health and Mathis was holding his own next to left tackle Jason Peters.
