Browns claimed LB Eric Martin off waivers from the Saints. An undrafted free agent out of Nebraska, Martin turned heads early in Saints camp before disappearing once the lights came on in preseason games. The Browns could be planning to stash him on the practice squad.

Saints undrafted OLB Eric Martin has "continued to make his presence felt" at training camp. Martin, a defensive end at Nebraska, is making the transition to stand-up edge rusher, and it's reportedly been going smoothly. The Saints are down OLBs Victor Butler (torn ACL) and Martez Wilson (elbow), so Martin has been getting quality reps with the second-team defense. He's also nails on special teams.
