Ebron caught five of 10 targets for 40 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 37-34 loss to Houston.
EDGE Analysis
Ebron got Indy's comeback bid going midway through the fourth quarter with a leaping five-yard touchdown reception. The former top-10 pick is scoring at a pace he never sniffed in Detroit. Certainly, he has benefited from Jack Doyle's absence in recent weeks with 21 targets in his last two games, but -- with a touchdown in three of four games -- Ebron figures to be a solid red-zone threat with or without Doyle in the lineup. He next takes on a Patriots defense that rebounded in a big way in Week 4.

The Colts ruled out Jack Doyle (hip) on Friday, leaving Ebron (shoulder/knee) as the primary tight end for Sunday's contest against the Texans, Andrew Walker of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
After receiving a maintenance day Wednesday as he tended to shoulder and knee injuries, Ebron wrapped up the week with back-to-back full practices. He's thus set to serve as the Colts' No. 1 tight end for a second straight game with Doyle on the pine. On the first occasion last Sunday at Philadelphia, Ebron was targeted a team-high 11 times, hauling in five of them for 33 yards. He'll look to reach the end zone for a third time this season Sunday versus a Houston defense that has given up two TDs to tight ends through three games.

Ebron (shoulder/knee) practiced fully Thursday, Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ebron is thus in line to play Sunday against the Texans. With Jack Doyle still dealing with a hip injury and trending toward Week 4 inactive status, Ebron figures to remain heavily involved in the Colts' passing attack this weekend. In Week 3's 20-16 loss the Eagles, Ebron was targeted a team-high 11 times, en route to hauling in five catches for 33 yards.

Ebron (shoulder, knee) was spotted at Thursday's practice, Stephen Holder of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
We'll circle back on Ebron's status once his participation level is revealed, but his return to practice bodes well for his chances of suiting up Sunday against the Texans. With Jack Doyle dealing with a hip injury, Ebron should be in line for plenty of tight end snaps in Week 4, health permitting. In last Sunday's 20-16 loss the Eagles, Ebron's team-high 11 targets yielded five catches for 33 yards.

Ebron (shoulder, knee) was held out of Wednesday's practice, Kevin Bowen of 1070 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Jack Doyle (hip) unavailable, Ebron drew a team-high 11 targets on 52 snaps (88 percent) in Sunday's 20-16 loss to Philadelphia. The 25-year-old tight end apparently came out of the game with a couple injuries, but there hasn't been any indication that either is serious. Doyle also missed Wednesday's practice and appears no better than 50-50 to return for Week 4 against the Texans. Erik Swoope and Ryan Hewitt round out the Indianapolis depth chart at tight end.

Ebron had five receptions for 33 yards on 11 targets in Sunday's loss at Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Ebron saw increased activity with Jack Doyle out with a hip injury as he led the team in targets. He played a season-high 52 snaps on offense and went out on routes on 41 plays, according to Pro Football Focus. Ebron had just 6.6 yards per reception, so he didn't capitalize on the opportunity. However, he could be set for another large role in the offense next week against Houston if Doyle remains out.

Ebron's teammate, Jack Doyle (hip) is week-to-week, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ebron was already on the fantasy radar even though he was working in a time-share. Now that Doyle has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Ebron's fantasy upside gets a nice boost in Week 3 and potentially beyond.

Ebron caught three of four targets for 26 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-9 win over Washington.
EDGE Analysis
Ebron has opened his Colts tenure with touchdowns in back-to-back games, this time scoring from seven yards out on the opening drive. Fellow tight end Jack Doyle saw one more target that Ebron, but the former Detroit first-rounder finished with six more yards and is emerging as Indianapolis' player to own at the position thanks to his red-zone usage.

Ebron caught four of five targets for 51 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-23, Week 1 loss to the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
Ebron and Jack Doyle were both heavily involved at the tight end position, as Doyle chipped in a team-high 60 receiving yards on seven catches. Detroit's much-maligned first-round pick in 2014 made a much better first impression on his new team, most notably on a 26-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter.

Ebron caught all five of his targets for 54 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's 23-17 preseason win over the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
Ebron did much of his damage with Andrew Luck on the field, including an excellent 15-yard touchdown connection to get the Colts on the board in the second quarter. The big tight end caught four passes in last week's contest against the Ravens but managed just 16 yards, so his performance in the "dress rehearsal" game was a much more positive sign for his potential fantasy value this season. Ebron will still have to contend with teammate Jack Doyle, but there's nothing to say both players can't contribute solid numbers if Andrew Luck carries Saturday's form over to the regular season.
