Manning attempted 47 passes as the Giants played from behind for much of the day, topping the 300-yard mark for the third time in four games. Unfortunately, he threw interceptions in the second and third quarters as his side tried to come back and didn't throw a touchdown pass until he found Evan Engram from two yards out near the end of the game. Manning now has a 4:5 TD:INT mark over his last four games and his team hasn't surpassed 20 points in any of the last three. He'll go back to the drawing board during the upcoming bye week before taking on the 49ers in Week 10.

Coach Pat Shurmur confirmed Tuesday that Manning would remain the Giants' starting quarterback Week 8 against the Redskins, Ryan Dunleavy of NJ.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Shurmur also relayed that New York wouldn't explore the trade market for another quarterback ahead of the Oct. 30 deadline, but that was always a likely outcome with the 1-6 Giants trending toward another losing season. The 37-year-old Manning no longer looks like the solution behind center for the Giants, but he may have at least temporarily delayed a changing of the guard by submitting one of his better outings of the season Monday in a 23-20 loss to the Falcons, completing 27 of 38 passes for 399 yards and a touchdown. Even so, it wouldn't be a major surprise if the Giants pulled the plug on their longtime starter at some point in the second half of the season and gave rookie fourth-round pick Kyle Lauletta an extended look.

EDGE Analysis

Manning had his share of head-scratching plays, but a trio of long gains ultimately saw him finish with a season high in passing yards. In fact, Manning stunningly completed three throws of 50-plus yards, including a 58-yarder to Sterling Shepard on the team's final offensive drive. That series was capped by a one-yard touchdown to Odell Beckham, but only after two feeble attempts from the 37-year-old Manning to sneak it in himself. Overall, it was a greatly improved showing from the signal-caller, but a couple of failed red-zone opportunities prevented what could've been an even better performance.

Manning completed 24 of 43 passes for 281 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. He also took four sacks and fumbled, though it was recovered by his own team.

EDGE Analysis

Manning's stat like was poor, but it understates how badly he actually played, throwing passes too high, too low and off target. He was bailed out on some catch and runs by Saquon Barkley and Odell Beckham, and Beckham again caught some balls that were off the mark. The Giants don't have great alternatives on the roster, but it's hard to see how a team can tolerate this level of QB play given the top-shelf offensive skill players around him.

Manning completed 22 of 36 pass attempts for 326 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions during Sunday's 33-31 loss to the Panthers.

EDGE Analysis

Manning averaged a healthy 9.1 yards per attempt as he set a new season high in yardage. His production was fueled by some big plays to his top weapons, including fourth-quarter touchdown passes to Odell Beckham Jr. and Saquon Barkley as the Giants nearly pulled off a breathtaking comeback. Manning did throw interceptions on back-to-back drives in the second half, ending a streak of three straight games without a pick, which was his longest since the 2012 season. The veteran certainly has the playmakers around him to post strong numbers on a weekly basis and he'll look to do just that Thursday against the Eagles.

Manning dink and dunked his way to 255 yards and a touchdown on 41 attempts (6.2 YPA) against the Saints. He didn't throw an interception but took three sacks.

EDGE Analysis

Manning completed 76 percent of his passes, but everything was underneath, and the team's longest pass play was a 27-yard catch and run by Odell Beckham. The schedule doesn't get any easier with the Giants traveling to face the Panthers next week.

Manning completed 25 of 29 passes for 297 yards (10.2 YPA), two touchdowns and no interceptions. He took four sacks.

EDGE Analysis

A vast improvement from last week's debacle as Manning showed he can still be competent when he has time. Pat Shurmur's system and Manning's elite weapons could carry him to a useful fantasy season if the line holds up.

EDGE Analysis

Manning was at the mercy of his underwhelming offensive line in this one, frequently throwing check-down after check-down without leading his team to a single point in its first six possessions. The quarterback was ultimately sacked six times before the final whistle and never proved effective moving the ball through the air until garbage time. While his fantasy stock will continue to be buoyed by the impressive talent around him at each skill position, it may prove difficult for Manning to take advantage of his tools if he isn't allowed much time in the pocket.

Manning completed 23 of 37 passes for 224 yards and an interception while failing to throw a touchdown and rushing once for two yards in Sunday's 20-15, Week 1 loss to Jacksonville.

EDGE Analysis

Little was expected of Manning against Jacksonville's vaunted pass defense, so this fantasy dud was hardly surprising. His lone interception was a costly mistake, as it was returned by Myles Jack for a 32-yard touchdown. On the bright side, Manning appears to be flanked by two elite playmakers now after having none for most of last season. Odell Beckham caught 11 balls for 111 yards while Saquon Barkley broke off a 68-yard touchdown run.

Manning, who completed 17-of-23 passes Friday night, has a good chance to set a career-high in completion percentage this year under new coach Pat Shurmur who presided over Sam Bradford's record-setting 2016 (71.6%) as well as Case Keenum's 67.6 percent last season, the Newark Star-Ledger reports.

EDGE Analysis

Manning's career high is 63.1 percent (2014), so it's not an especially high bar to clear. Having Saquon Barkley, Sterling Shepard, Evan Engram and Odell Beckham around should also help, and Manning will be asked to move more and complete passes from outside the pocket. Manning's ceiling is probably capped by his lacked of rushing ability and middling accuracy, but this is the best system and personnel he's had in his entire career.
