Ferguson was waived by the Lions on Saturday, WXYZ Detroit reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ferguson, a 2014 second-rounder, failed to impress with yet another team. Considering the opportunity that was available along the Lions' weak defensive line, Ferguson's release doesn't bode well for his future chances of success.

Ferguson (shoulder) was signed by the Lions on Thursday, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ferguson has already been released by two NFC North rivals throughout the offseason due to concerns with the shoulder injury that kept him sidelined for the entire 2016 season, but the Lions will now give the 2014 second-rounder another chance. Ferguson produced 22 tackles, two sacks, and three passes defensed during his rookie campaign with the Bears, but has appeared in just four games since. He'll look to provide depth at defensive tackle in Detroit behind A'Shawn Robinson, Haloti Ngata, Khyri Thornton and Akeem Spence.

Ferguson (shoulder) was released by the Packers on Wednesday with a failed physical designation, ESPN's Rob Demovsky reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ferguson was claimed off waivers by the Packers on Monday after the Bears let him loose over the weekend. Unfortunately, it appears the shoulder injury that sentenced him to injured reserve for the entire 2016 season is still a problem. Once he returns to full health, however, the 2014 second-rounder shouldn't have a problem finding a new job.

Ferguson (shoulder) was claimed off waivers by the Packers on Monday, ESPN's Field Yates reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ferguson moves north after being let go by the Bears to end last week. The 2014 second-rounder missed all of last season due to a shoulder injury and was placed on injured reserve four games into the 2015 campaign because of a knee problem. Although Ferguson is still only 25 years old, the LSU product boasts merely 27 tackles and two sacks in 20 games since entering the league, making him a relatively unproven commodity for the Packers to evaluate ahead of the upcoming campaign.

Ferguson (shoulder) was waived by the Bears on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Ferguson spent the past three seasons with the Bears, appearing in 20 games while making one start. However, the defensive end has had a history of injuries and missed the entire 2016 season due to a shoulder ailment. Now a free agent, the 25-year-old will look to find his way onto another roster in time for training camp, but will have to prove he can stay off of the injury report.

Ferguson finished the year on season-ending injured reserve due to a shoulder injury, Bob LeGere of the Daily Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ferguson was waived with an injury designation after injuring his shoulder in the preseason and was placed on IR after he cleared waivers. The Bears' second-round pick in 2014, Ferguson has one year left on his rookie contract and will look to make his first real impact since his rookie year in 2014, when he recorded 24 tackles, including 2.0 sacks, and three passes defensed while playing in all 16 games.

Ferguson has been handed a four-game suspension for a violation of the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances, Jeff Dickerson of ESPN Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
After notching three tackles in four games, Ferguson was placed on season-ending injured reserve in October due to a nagging knee injury. Thus, his ban won't kick in until he's healthy enough to take the field during the 2016 campaign.

Ferguson (knee) is inactive for the Bears' Week 2 game against the Cardinals, Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
The knee issue sidelined Ferguson for two of the Bears' three practices this week, and the defensive end failed to show enough improvement Sunday morning for the team to green light him to play. It's likely that Will Sutton will move over from nose tackle to defensive end to fill in for Ferguson.

Ferguson is set to open the season as one of the Bears' starters at defensive end, the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
In the eyes of the new coaching staff, Ferguson made a successful transition from 4-3 defensive tackle to 3-4 defensive end during training camp. Ferguson and Jarvis Jenkins will assume starting roles for the Bears, but neither player is expected to provide much pass-rushing ability, as that task will largely fall on outside linebackers Pernell McPhee and Jared Allen.
