Gratz was released by the Eagles on Sunday, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

This move is a little surprising, as Gratz was one the Eagles' only reserve cornerbacks with any playing experience whatsoever. The 2013 third-rounder shouldn't have too much of problem finding another job sometime soon.

The fifth-year cornerback has been dealing with hip flexor injury as of late but will look to put the injury behind him as he joins his new team. The Rams are very limited at cornerback, so Gratz could see some defensive snaps this Sunday against the Lions, if not a role on special teams.

Gratz (hip) is active for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Gratz hasn't seen more than 23 snaps on defense since Week 3, but will get the starting nod at cornerback with Alan Ball (biceps) on the inactive list. Although Gratz did not participate in Friday's practice, the hip flexor injury must have subsided enough for the Jags to feel comfortable with the 24-year-old returning to action. The fifth-year player has collected 22 tackles (18 solo) and an interception so far in 2014.
