Coach Mike McCarthy told reporters Monday that DuJuan Harris' (knee) availability for Week 1 against San Francisco is in doubt. He's getting a second opinion, the results of which may determine whether Harris needs a scope. Already playing alongside Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay's shotgun offense, Eddie Lacy has a chance to open the season as an every-down back. Harris has injured his right knee twice since the start of Packers camp. Fourth-round pick Johnathan Franklin is a distant No. 3 on the depth chart.

Speaking at his Sunday presser, Packers coach Mike McCarthy gave no timetable fur DuJuan Harris' (knee) return. It's not expected to be a long-term injury, but Harris has injured his right knee twice and there's a chance he could be "week to week." McCarthy explained he has not yet received "all the information," suggesting Harris went for an MRI. Rookie Eddie Lacy continues to look like a locked-in feature back.

Packers RB DuJuan Harris told reporters following Friday night's preseason game that his re-injured knee is "fine." Harris' durability remains a concern, but he looks to have escaped serious injury against the Seahawks. He's still on track to open the season as the Packers' change-of-pace complement to rookie Eddie Lacy.

Packers RB DuJuan Harris managed two yards on three carries and caught an 11-yard pass in Friday night's preseason game before leaving with a knee injury. Harris walked off under his own power, though he was limping a bit and had the knee wrapped on the Packers' training table. It was Harris' preseason debut after missing the first two exhibition games with a multi-week knee injury. Harris also underwent offseason surgery to have a cyst removed from his lung. The veteran Harris nominally started Friday night's preseason affair, but projects as a change-of-pace back behind Eddie Lacy.

DuJuan Harris was the first-team running back at Packers practice Monday. The Packers seem intent on deferring to the veteran with reps despite Eddie Lacy's bruising, powerful preseason debut where he averaged 5.0 yards per carry. We do anticipate Harris earning a role in the offense -- and perhaps even getting nominal "starts" -- but Lacy will be Green Bay's feature back. Harris (5'7/214) is far better suited for a pace-change/passing-down role. On Monday, Harris was first in line, Lacy second, and Johnathan Franklin third.

Packers activated RB DuJuan Harris (knee) from active/PUP. Although coach Mike McCarthy recently called Harris the Packers' "starter," the reality is Harris is internally viewed as a change-of-pace back and Green Bay wouldn't have used two quality draft picks on running backs if they thought of Harris as a lead runner. Harris is a threat to Johnathan Franklin and John Kuhn's snaps as a situational, passing-down specialist.

Packers RB DuJuan Harris will miss 2-3 weeks with a knee injury. Harris was placed on the active/PUP list Thursday. When healthy, he'll compete for change-of-pace carries behind Eddie Lacy. Due to Green Bay's influx of tailback talent, missed reps could hurt Harris' chances of making the team.

Packers placed RB DuJuan Harris on the active/PUP list. Harris had a cyst removed from his lung in June and still isn't ready to practice. ESPN Milwaukee reports the Packers "expect him to be cleared soon."
