Brees has been diagnosed with a torn plantar fascia in his right foot, but a second opinion will determine his fate for the rest of the season, Katherine Terrell of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brees sustained the injury in the first half of Monday's game, but a lengthy drive by the Lions allowed him to tape up the region and reenter without missing a snap. Afterward, though, he was seen wearing a walking boot, placing a cloud over his Week 16 availability. At the moment, the Saints consider Brees day-to-day, and the quarterback himself remains hopeful that he'll be able to suit up for the final two games of the season, but this particular injury is tricky, as it impacts his plant foot on throws. As the week rolls on, further evaluation and his practice participation will give an indication whether he's trending toward an appearance Sunday against the Jaguars.

Brees completed 34-of-52 passes for 341 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in Monday night's loss to the Lions.
EDGE Analysis
Brees was his usual productive self Monday night, topping the 300-yard mark for the eighth time this season. Additionally, Brees tossed a trio of touchdown passes, all of which came during the Saints' second half comeback. Over New Orleans' last three games, Brees has totaled eight touchdowns and just one interception, putting him in good form ahead of Sunday's game against the Jaguars.

Brees sustained an injury to his foot during Monday's loss to Detroit and has an MRI scheduled for Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Brees seemingly played through the pain Monday while staying in the game until the very last play, but he was spotted donning a walking boot later in the night while leaving the Superdome. Matt Flynn will likely be on tap for the start next Sunday against the Jaguars if Brees receives unfavorable MRI results.

Drew Brees
QB FA
Brees completed 31-of-41 passes for 312 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 24-17 victory over the Buccaneers. He netted zero yards on three rushes and was also sacked twice.
EDGE Analysis
Brees tallied his first 300-yard performance since Nov. 8 versus the Titans, while managing his fourth game with a completion percentage north of 70 percent. He was excellent with his pass distribution as well, completing passes to four different wideouts and seven to tight end Ben Watson. Despite the significant loss of Jimmy Graham to the Seahawks in free agency this past offseason--as well as a change in offensive philosophy--Brees' 7.64 yards per attempt and 11 interceptions both check in as notable improvements over his 2014 metrics in those categories. Currently at 23 touchdowns on the season, the 15-year veteran also has a chance to match or exceed his total of 33 from a year ago with strong performances over the Saints' final three games. Brees' first opportunity to add to that number will come in a favorable matchup at home versus the Saints on Monday Night Football in Week 15.

Brees completed 24 of 42 passes for 282 yards with three touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's 41-38 loss to the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Brees did not play against Carolina in the first meeting back in Week 3, but he was in fine form Sunday, going back and forth with Cam Newton. In the end, Brees came up a little short though, as he could not get the Saints into field goal range on their last possession. As usual, Brees has been much better at home this year, posting a 17:5 TD:INT ratio in six games at the Superdome. Keep that in mind next week, when he'll take on the Bucs in Tampa Bay.

Brees completed 25 of 44 attempts for 228 yards and an interception in Sunday's loss to the Texans.
EDGE Analysis
The Saints offense was held in check by the rejuvenated Texans defense, and Brees put up his second lowest yardage total of the season, while failing to connect on a touchdown pass for the first time. The veteran has struggled in the two outings since his statistical eruption in Weeks 8 and 9, with three interceptions and an average of less than 220 yards per game. Brees will attempt to get back on track in next week's home matchup with the first-place panthers.

Brees completed 19 of 28 passes for 209 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's loss to the Redskins.
EDGE Analysis
After throwing for nearly 900 yards and 10 touchdowns in the previous two weeks, Brees came down to earth versus a mediocre Washington secondary. The Saints receivers simply failed to make plays on Sunday, as nobody besides Brandin Cooks was able to top three catches or 25 yards, despite Brees' efficiency. New Orleans will enjoy a bye in Week 11 before traveling to Houston the following Sunday.

Brees threw for 389 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's overtime loss to the Titans, completing 28-of-39 passes while tossing one interception.
EDGE Analysis
There was nowhere to go but down for Brees after last week's seven-touchdown performance, but he didn't descend by much. The Saints quarterback is averaging 450 yards and five touchdowns over the past two weeks, yet his team amazingly almost went 0-2 in those two contests. The defense continues to hemorrhage points, which means owners can expect Brees to throw early and often moving forward.

Drew Brees
QB FA
Brees completed 40-of-50 throws for 511 yards, an eye-popping seven touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's dramatic victory over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran set a new single-game high in yardage and passing scores with Sunday's statistical eruption, connecting with nine different pass-catchers in the process. Brees has struggled with an inconsistent group of skill players this season, as the seven touchdowns nearly matched his season total heading into the game. Brees has still been prolific through the air, averaging roughly 340 passing yards per game, and he now has 11 touchdowns compared to just two interceptions in four home games. The Saints will look to secure their fourth straight win when they host the Titans in Week 9.

Drew Brees
QB FA
Brees completed 28-of-44 passes for 255 yards, a touchdown and an interception in Sunday's win over the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
Brees is racking up yardage at the same great pace he has for years, topping 250 yards in each of his six starts, and 312 or more in four contests. What may be concerning to fantasy owners, however, is the fact that New Orleans is throwing to move the ball and running to score. In four drives that moved past the Indianapolis 10-yard line, the Saints ran for three short touchdown runs and Brees threw a pick. Through six games, the Saints have more rushing touchdowns, 10, than passing touchdowns, eight, and Brees is on pace for 20 touchdown throws - far and away his lowest total as a Saint.
