Anderson was cut by Arizona on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old was promoted to the 53-man roster for the final game of the 2019 regular season, otherwise spending all of his time on the practice squad. Anderson was one of four quarterbacks on the roster heading into camp, but it looks like the Cardinals will give Chris Streveler the first chance to be the third-string QB. Anderson will look to earn a depth role elsewhere for 2020.

Anderson was promoted to the Cardinals' 53-man roster Friday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Starting QB Kyler Murray (hamstring) will be a game-day decision, prompting Arizona to add some depth at quarterback. The undrafted rookie spent training camp and the preseason with the Cardinals before being let go at roster cutdowns, and he's since been on the team's practice squad. Anderson would serve as the No. 2 quarterback behind Brett Hundley should Murray be unable to suit up this weekend.

Anderson completed nine of 17 passes for 118 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions in the Cardinals' 20-7 preseason loss to the Broncos on Thursday. He also rushed two times for 20 yards.
EDGE Analysis
The undrafted rookie saw more extended run than Charles Kanoff, his primary competition for a possible No. 3 quarterback spot. Anderson displayed his mobility on his pair of scrambles and was also relatively sharp while staying away from any turnovers. It remains to be seen if the Cardinals will keep three quarterbacks on the 53-man roster to open the season, but if so, Anderson may have made a strong case for the job Thursday.
