Robinson (ankle) is doubtful to return to Sunday's preseason contest versus the Bills, Adam Jahns of AllCHGO.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Robinson failed to record any stats before suffering an ankle injury, which will likely bring his night to a premature end. The defensive end's status will be worth monitoring at practice this week ahead of Chicago's preseason finale versus the Chiefs on Friday.

Robinson posted one tackle in the Bears' 29-13 loss to the Vikings in Week 18, and ended the season with 30 tackles and 1.5 sacks over 17 games played.

EDGE Analysis

After being drafted in the fifth round of the 2022 draft, Robinson averaged 30 snaps per game in a rotational role. Aside from three weeks when he had at least five tackles, he had two or fewer tackles in most of his games. It's very possible that his role grows as he goes into his second season. He's under contract through 2025.

Robinson notched 1.5 sacks and seven tackles in the Bears' 19-10 win over the 49ers on Sunday.

With the 49ers running the ball 37 times along with the game being played in a heavy rainstorm, Robinson took advantage of the opportunity by being a part of both Chicago sacks. Although it's unlikely he's rostered in most IDP leagues, if he has another strong game, he could become a priority waiver add.

Robinson went down early in the contest with what has been described as a leg injury. He is unlikely to return to the contest and will now look to be ready for Week 1 against the 49ers on Sept. 11, which he can now be considered questionable for.
