Falcons signed RB Dimitri Nance to a reserve/future contract. Nance is a pedestrian runner, but knows how to pass protect, can play on third downs, and contributes on special teams. The Falcons want to increase their no-huddle usage under new OC Dirk Koetter. Nance will push for a roster spot.

Packers waived or released RB Dimitri Nance, RB Brandon Saine, OG Ray Dominguez, OT Chris Campbell, NT Chris Donaldson, LB Ricky Elmore, CB Josh Gordy, FB Jon Hoese, LB Cardia Jackson and LB Elijah Joseph. Nance took the ball just 96 yards on 35 carries last season, and was made expendable by the emergence of James Starks and the selection of Alex Green in last spring's draft.
