Hurst finished the 2014 season with 40 tackles and one interception. Hurst became the Bears' nickel back when Charles Tillman incurred a season-ending triceps injury in Week 2. While he didn't flash many ball skills, he was able to hold off Sherrick McManus and Al Louis-Jean for snaps. He'll be in the mix for a reserve role again in 2015, but could be sent packing if he struggles to mesh with the team's new coaching staff.

Hurst was signed to the Bears' 53-man roster Thursday, the Chicago Tribune reports. Hurst had two tackles on special teams in the Bears' opener, so it's likely that's where he'll be used this weekend. It's also possible Hurst could see time as a nickel back.
