Tyson will likely have an important role in the Ravens' defensive-line rotation, the Baltimore Sun reports.
The former seventh-round draft pick emerged as a solid reserve last season, making good use of his 153 snaps. Capable of playing both defensive end and tackle, Tyson should see more playing time this season, after the Ravens lost some defensive-line depth to injuries in training camp. He's still far removed from the IDP radar.

Ravens DL DeAngelo Tyson "could step into a elevated role" in 2014.
Tyson is competing for playing time with rookie Timmy Jernigan and Chris Canty, but has the flexibility to play multiple spots along the defensive line. He had 10 tackles, two sacks, and an interception over 153 snaps last year. 25-year-old Tyson will see a bigger role as a rotational lineman this season.

Ravens agreed to terms with seventh-round DT DeAngelo Tyson on a four-year contract.
Tyson was an underachiever at Georgia, entering the university as a five-star recruit and leaving school with little production. The Ravens will try to get the most out of him as a seventh-round flier. He's a 315-pound nose tackle.
