In recognition of his advancing age and troublesome injury history, Hall agreed to restructure his contract to remain with the Redskins in 2017, but it remains to be seen how effectively he'll be able to play coming off a major setback. The Redskins likely have him pegged for a backup role at free safety after signing D.J. Swearinger to a three-year deal in March.

After missing practice on Wednesday, Hall put in limited sessions on Thursday and Friday and will see time in the lineup at strong safety. With Washington having nothing to play for, it's difficult to know how many snaps he'll end up seeing. Over his last three games, he's recovered a fumble while piling up 19 tackles.

Regardless of his ability to play, Hall may be held out of Sunday's meaningless game against the Cowboys. And even if he ends up playing, it would be quite surprising if he stayed in for the entire game.
